Title: Housing crisis
Post by: tonguello on September 10, 2011, 21:01:15
Ok eveybody gets their crisis...so here is mine.
I have actually not more room for displaying so everything I buy from now on will be stored, which is very annoying to me. I don't enjoy my stored playmo... sometimes I don't even remember what I have there. Anyway... with the last free spot of wall I did this: got rid of the bed's headboard and hunged bookscases.

Put some books up there and the rest are small displays and some ships.
Each box will have a glass door to protect them from dust and all the ships will have their fishtanks

From left to right.

Medieval.

Pirates

Space, I specially enjoyed making those two fly

Dragon Knights
(http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/DSCF3144.jpg)

Fairies, I tried to make one fly too, but they are so light that they don't look natural. I'll try again when I get an adult fairy.

They look great Gaston.
What a good idea to put glass doors on too, that's the big problem with displaying, having to dust everything, but this should solve that.  :wow:

I just noticed the expedition ship is up there! And I also notice how big all the other ships are in comparison. :o That's the only ship I have.... yet. ;D

Anybody wanna take bets on how long it will be before those books come down and those last two spaces are filled with playmo?

Oh yes, thanks for pointing that out - they look great all in comparison

I didn't realise the expedition ship looked so small, and the trawler must be huge! 8}

For keeping the dust away someone shoudl purchsace an air purifier , they do an amazqing job, my medieval set up has been out for nearly a year now and there is very little/almost no dust after all this time !

I really like the set up btw , very profesional looking

Thank you everyone for your comments!

It's cool to see the ships together. I just realized yesterday how huge the fishing trawler is in comparison, I always thought the 3940 was the biggest ship but I never had them in the same room untill yesterday.

I have the cases custom made specially for the ships...more to come (there are more ships on the way  :-[)

That was my first thought too!

I love the displays.. and the "aquariums" are a good idea... But I think it's not doable for my "fleet".
