I would prefer him with: bare arms, fur cuff (dark grey to mach the cloak), and maybe a gladius instead of the sword, that'd be awesome.

I doubt there is a dark grey gladius in the roman sets Arnaud. This one if from the 4812 Wolf Knight with Catapult although playmodb lists it as light grey ...and thats funny, but now that I look at it, it may have been light grey gladius after all... then where did I got that dark grey from? ??? :-\ confused again :-[

But yes, I think Arnaud's suggestion was just right! The yellow sleeves weren't quite right and the bare arms are much better. He looks great!

The continuous scale is nice though, and period. :)
The one thing I will beg you to change is his helmet!
Saw off the horns and repaint it,
Or change it to the ocular helm,
Just PLEASE don't leave those annoying horns on. :'(

And i do like the horns so I'll keep them :) lots of horned vikings in my lot ;D if anything, just look uppon them as a fantasy viking theme, after all, I am not after historical accuracy here :)

HAHAHAHA! I think he looks fierce and Viking like. His lace up boots look good, I prefer them to the plain. I also like the bare arms and the horns ;D

Yes they were Luis, of course, some of them had that dreadfull purple colour that was used on barbarians as well :-\

oh right, yeah that was a great special. not so easy to find anymore... i only have two... thats a great torso. I like them more with the horns too.

Yes its a good idea.. problem is, there are so few legs that can be used for vikngs... and I am not very keen on using any purple... :-\ I've given these blue legs/yellow tide up boots to so many others of my vikings...

I like Vikings in any form...feel they are cute looking dudes regardless of the background, and love the current background for these guys. It is so much fun to juxtapose figures in settings so unexpected!
The horns are so special on vikings! Remind me of my childhood and the Texas Longhorns that were wild there long ago and are the mascot for the Univ of Texas. Cheers, Pgal :wave:

Actually, the non-matching pants are more period then matching ones would be.
Vikings are farmers, they do not have the money to buy each set of clothes matching colors.
Then again, they might have to buy a roll of fabric, or buy all the fabric they need from the same seller
and make a whole outfit out of it, so there could be matching clothes.
However, I would wonder if a viking would take the time to match up their clothes.
But just like in any other society, there are fashions, and people who follow fashions,
So there could be vikings who could care less,
and vikings who spend 30 minuets of their morning going through what clothes to wear. ;)

my thought exactly... althoug some times it take me up to an hour to decide how to build them, what colours to combine :lol: :lol:
