Hello everyone,
Here I show pictures of the reference 4290, after applying a coat of paint and some wood trim on the stern.
I hope you enjoy it.

I didin't know you could get that effect on ABS. I know how to make it with wood, but here you got me puzzled.
Congrats, for a first contribution! Can't wait to see more!

(sorry if my spanish is wrong; no hablo espanol bien)
I love the weathering paint job! did you use a black wash for this? And the cannons...did you use drybrush technique?
btw, your colours remind me of the HMS Bounty:

WOW! 8} :-[
Thank you very much for your comments. I did not expect such good words of my first custom. Answering questions about my method, I must confess that all the work is not mine. I work with a friend in a study of airbrushing, painting all kinds of objects like guitars, pc towers, dolls (such as "repaint tonner"), motorcycles, cars, helmets as well as motorcycle riders (as Ralf Waldmann) and formula 1 (as Fernando Alonso). I've always liked the playmobil and decided to do a test to see how it was, and apparently works fine!
Returning to the original post, I have to say that is not yet finished, that we will be uploading new photos to see what you think. Just as the new jobs we have in mind to customize.
Thank you very much again for your comments and please keep doing it because it encourages us to continue working.
Regards.

dolls (such as "repaint tonner"),
I'm not really into those but I've seen AWESOME repaints. Also true in the 12" scale (which I'm into)... And with those Korean (I think) ball jointed ones - my sister has a few (dangerous fellows, always kicking!)
The wood on the ship IS amazing...
-
For a first try that is waaaaaaaay more then good! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/notworthy.gif)

My partner, before, he paints under the name of aerodoll, but now he will start to paint with a different name. The truth is that the realism he gets to dolls is incredible!!

This is amazing work. I look forward to more photos!

BlackPearl, don't worry, your Spanish is perfect! :D (My English not so good ¡¡Sorry!! :-[) Indeed I took the colors of the HSM Bounty because Playmobil only produces pirate ships, and I need a ship for my british.
PS: I love your custom BlackPearl. Is the best custom I've ever seen.

Job well done as, obviously, I was able to recognize the likeness! I've planned to do an HMS Bounty as well using the 4290, but I was considering doing the ship's Pirates of the Caribbean version of itself as it played as the privateer merchant ship "Edinburgh Trader" in which it was repainted green for the movie. Here it is in its famous Kraken attack scene:
