I have dozens of parts that I got in Play Parts Packages that I have no idea which sets they are from. Some of them I have no idea what they are supposed to do! Here is a random selection that I thought it might be fun to try to identify. Some of them are easy. Some a little more challenging. Let's Play!
(oh, the red pieces snap together)

the lighter brown thing with two tabs at the bottom and a U shape at the other end is the mount for the helm wheel on a 3050 or schooner style pirateship.

I'll take the easy ones! ;)
The white sheet with "Merry Christmas" written on it comes from an Advent Calendar set.
The dark blue circular piece with hole in the middle is a plant pot from one of the modern dollshouse or City Life sets.

a plant pot! I kept trying to make it be some kind of wheel and that just didn't make sense.

The light blue thing with 3 holes it's to fit bottles:
30 26 9510 - Baby-bottle holder, holds 3 bottles (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-26-9510)
The grey ramp is from racing:
30 08 2000 - ramp for vehicle lifting (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-08-2000)
The round grey thing is the top of a heli container:
30 05 3540 - Water-bomber container top, four loops (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-05-3540)
The gold thing is part of a bench, fancy medieval style:
30 61 3500 - Stool base and handles (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-61-3500)
The white basket is used for shopping and others:
30 23 1440 - Basket, small, rectangular (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-23-1440)
The yellow part is common in police and such, a hand held sign:
30 23 3750 - Sign, warning, round, handheld (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-23-3750)

The circular white ones is a 30 05 3540 - Water-bomber container top, four loops (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-05-3540) and here is your 30 23 1440 - Basket, small, rectangular (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-23-1440) nd your golden thingy is a 30 61 3500 - Stool base and handles (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-61-3500) although the one I am indicating has an old gold colour while yours looks like the new gold colour... (that difference again ::))
---edit---
tahra beat me to it ;D

Good finding! Both of you!
So the stool and the water bomber aren't going to be very useful with only one part but maybe I can use the handheld sign for something interesting. Oh, and maybe I can drive a car up on one ramp and do roll-over tricks! :)
That leaves the brown stick thing, the red pieces, and the little grey piece... any ideas?
-
The red pieces are arms for platform numbers from the recent railway station sets:

Hooray Gordon! I knew that they must stick into a system X wall but I couldn't figure out why you'd WANT to stick a red "post" into a wall. It's a sign!

I suppose you could use it vertically as a post by sticking it in a hole in a System-X base, maybe a row of them in front of the bank to stop ram raiders!

i see some differences between gold colours in same parts .but i don't think they are intended to be different or they are? ???

Oh, good job! I should have recognized it from this blister pack!

But, I thought all the Santas had the stick with the forked end. 8}
