Title: Take Good Care of My Clicky
Post by: polylerus on August 02, 2006, 22:34:53
Remember Dion's hit from the 1960s, "Take Good Care of My Baby"?  I have made a stop-motion music video for it with Playmobil called "Take Good Care of My Clicky"!

See it at www.capuchinfilms.com!  The film is under the drop-down "stop-motion films" menu.

If you find that the movie does not play, you can also download it to your hard drive by right-clicking on the film title from "The Vault," at http://www.capuchinfilms.com/vault.cfm

Hope you like it!

Hey, this is pretty cool  8-)

Very nice ideas for the videos I must say, and very well executed. Can you reveal the secret how long it takes to animate such a video?

Reminds me of the time (several years ago) I've heard the music of the 60ies the whole day long ... very nice sound ...

p.s.: From what is this bowling stuff from? Had Playmobil a bowling set some day?

p.p.s.: BTW, what have you caused with your Plastic Hips Don't Lie video? I hadn't known this song before you presented -- some time ago -- your video. Then this song had become very famous here in Germany too, and each time I heard this song on the radio, immediatly I got the pictures of your video for my inner eye with dancing around klickies ... (I can't get these klickies out of my brain ...  :-\   ;))

Thanks very much for your message!   ;D

The music videos take me three weeks or so (the Fountain of Youth took me a lot longer).  Sometimes I have to find some extra Playmobil sets to suit my needs, which is a lot of fun to do!

I try to use Playmobil sets whenever possible, but in this case, I used a plastic bowling set I found at a bargain depot.  It was more or less proportional to the klicky figures.  I don't think that Playmobil ever had a bowling alley, but that would be awesome!  :-*

Hehe  :yup:.  The appearance of the Plastic Hips Don't Lie video coincided with the rise in the music charts of Shakira's song, which hit #1 and remained there for a long time in the US.  Pure coincidence!

As usual an excellent production you never let us down. I have been trying to think of a song that would benefit from some playmobil action and the best I can think of so far is 'The leader of the Pack'. Any better ideas out there.

Thank you for the kind comments!

"Leader of the Pack"?  By the Shangri-Las?  That's an interesting idea.

I am willing to take requests at this point.

Some possible songs that crossed my mind:

Beck's "Loser"
Hard-FI's "Hard to Beat"

Fantastic music video, polylerus!  :)9
I really enjoyed it! :)

Some possible songs that crossed my mind:

Beck's "Loser"
Hard-FI's "Hard to Beat"

I would LOVE to see a playmo clip done to any of Hard-Fi's songs! Great band! :D

The song "Loser" is also good, but the lyrics are very dark.

Very nice yes, well made.

I'd love to see more playmobil videoclips.  :)

Here's what I'd love to see:

-Playmobil pirates with "Conquest of Paradise" from Evangelis.
-Four black clickies with "Daddy Cool" from Boney M.
-Michael Jackson's "Thriller" performed by clickies. (ghost pirates?)

Been looking at your other videos too, with my music loving son - he was very impressed and so was I (He liked the Shakira one, whereas I loved this and the Beatles one - nearer my era of musc!)

The Waka Waka one was really funny at all the moments all those clickies simultaniously raise their hands at times during the song.
