Title: klicky boys have ears
Post by: cheng on August 22, 2011, 03:40:34
sometime back I remembered somebody asked if its poossible to change klicy boys/girls' hair pieces and I remembered, the consenses among us was 'No!'
perhaps some are looser than others or perhaps we have been prying them from the back rather than from the front,
anyway I've only tried a girl and a boy and dont want to jump to conclusion that only klicky boys have ears (maybe its dependent on the manufacturing period or hair styles)

anyway I cant remember why somebody wanted to change hair pieces unless its for gnomes or other skin colors but what other appropriate or acceptable colour?  :P

not as easily as adult klicky BB!
....and please dont break your fingernails (I almost did..very painful still)

...and Tahra...I suppose bald boy klickies will look ok with these original ears, in case youre wondering still.

Maybe an indian tomahawk or a knife would be useful.... :P

 ;D

I yanked a hair of a girl when I was trying to pop her with the cape method.. but I'm not sure if the hair is not supposed to be glued on... what do you think?

Since most kids look alike, it's easier to just swap heads, once they're popped... Though for certain special cases..

I examined both the hair and the indentations on the heads, no trace of glue...maybe just sort of fused by heat but then the rest of the hair was not fused like those 2-tome helmets etc.

well, I cant think of any need to change hair either since both boys and girls have similar heads (maybe except for those pegs for certain hairstyles which would mean the pegs had to be trimmed sometimes and the fitting wont be so tight if thre hair had a different clip...I cant remember who asked so will just hope he/she reads this  ;)

maybe the method has changed through the years and they are now heat fused? Cheng, have you tried putting the hair back on? Does it look normal when it's put back?

yeh :P even tho' no tomahawks were used in scalping him  ;D

and BB, I snapped back the girl's hair...look good as new and was quite relieved when i could take it off again without any more pain (I dont know about her  :P) but the boy hair with 'ear' pegs would be definitely harder to scalp again because its harder to lift his low profile hair style and at his 'ears' simultaneously but it will snap back perfectly...I did push it back but stopped just before it snapped back.  ;)

but there's no need for changing hairstyles..not for mine at least  :)

Girls, or at least the older ones, have ears too!

Before I read this forum, I never knew how to remove the heads of cildren easily. So, I always changed their hair.

It used to be very easy for girls: just give it a nudge under one of the 'ponytails'. Maybe my method for boys was slightly odd: I used to put the head in my mouth and use my bottom teeth as grip.  ;D

One exception: the children klickies with black hair and black eyes and mouth can't have a change of hair, because their hair is in one piece with their eyes and mouth.
The girl with the yellow dress in the picture hasn't got black eyes but brown ones. I coloured her eyes with a marker.

But a few years ago Playmobil started making different types of children clickies, and now I find it a lot more difficult  to change their hair.

i've tried it a couple of times and it worked in some case..... i had a boy with brown hair and i wanted desperatly to make him blonde ( his head didn't come out in any way) so i changed the hair  ;D ;D ;D ;D it's better to change the head though if it comes easily off  :)
