At long last I've managed to sort out some of the photos from the exhibition, they don't seem as good as I'd hoped as the display on the back of my camera has gone, so I couldn't check them until I got them on the computer, but I'm sure Damo and Gordon will have better photos that they can show.
As I've been pretty busy since the exhibition ended I'm having to put them on a display or two at a time, so here are the photos of Damo's Safari diorama and my Victorian Street, however because I was busy with other scenes, Damo put the klickies in place in the street for me.
(I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the dioramas and custom buildings thread, so mods. please feel free to move it if it should be elsewhere.)
Damo's Safari

Lyn (Damo's mum) and Steve painted the background scene...

Damo had brought the base for the building with him and it turned out that in my building spares box I had some walls and half the roof, so he built a custom building

Avie and Lizzie were there of course...

The rabbit in the jeep was one of the bunney family that had to be found!
Can you spot the crododile hunter with a hand missing?

A big thank you to Socrates who managed to get me the new green car and send it in time for the exhibition.

I hadn't planned on having a park, so it was a last minute additon, but I was pleased with how it turned out...

I'll sort out more photos of the other displays over the next few days and post them as soon as I can.

Very nice displays, both of you! Damo, I love the hyena getting ready to attack the photographer! That really made me laugh. And Elaine, your painted houses are absolutely beautiful!
Elaine, to answer your question, IMO, the thread belongs here since it contains pics from an exhibition. The new dioramas board was intended for dios not associated with a community event, since there really wasn't a good place for them before. So you're good. :)9

Beautiful! Just beautiful!!!

Wonderful displays, Elaine and Damo! There is so much detail and humor to be found. ;D Love the bikini girl getting a tan on Damo's deck. I think the park is very clever Elaine. The guy mowing the grass seems just the right touch of reality. And of course I love the guy scooping the horse droppings (he'd probably get a good penny for that at the nursery these days!)

Elaine, what did you use for the lawn in the park?

Great displays. Have you shown the Bobby with the short cape elsewhere? He looks really interesting.

Great photos, Elaine

Damo :)
Agreed!

They are good photos. When they're all put up I'll post some of mine. I tended to take close up photos of a particular thing I liked or found funny.

These are awesome displays!! I love the hidden humor. :P ;D

Great displays, all of them :wow:! Finding the rabbit family in the displays is an excellent idea!

Dear Elaine
I am so sorry to be so terribly late in discovering your wonderful exhibition as I have been away in France and then working flat out at the next chapter of the adventures of our little victorians on Regent St :-[
I love the buildings and the color combination fits so beautifully the era
The street scenes are lively and happy, just like yourself ;)
