Title: King Agamemnon
Post by: playmofire on July 31, 2006, 20:33:34
So as to keep the political balance, as it were, after some Trojan customs here's one of King Agamemnon, leader of the Greeks at Troy.

At the time of the Trojan War, Greece wasn't a united country politically.  Rather, it was a geographical area made up of a number of independent states, some city states, others covering larger areas, united by a common culture, Greekness, if you like.  The dominant state was Mycenae, ruled by King Agamemnon.   Helen of Troy, as she came to be called, was King Agamemnon's wife, who Paris (Link to come here) seduced.

So here's King Agamemnon with his golden chariot.

Are you now creating Ancient Greek customs, Gordon ... ???

If so, we would like to invite you to join us and post at GW-PC (http://gardenwargaming.playclicks.com/forum/index.php?topic=442.0) where it seems that we may very well be on our way to having a Playmobil "Ancient Fest" ... :)

All the best,
Richard

Richard

Oh no, not at all, Richard!  You are reading the threads in the wrong order!  ;D   I'm posting pastifi's customs for him in my role as Playmofire-Homer.  It's a joint production.  You should start with the Trojan War/Siege of Troy thread.

Ooops ... You're asking the wrong person to keep the Greek stories (threads) in order, Gordon ...

I'm the one who can't tell the difference between a Greek Tragedy and a Greek Comedy. It's all just Greek to me  ...

And, not so old that you've forgotten them ...  ;D

Oh no she wasn't!  She was the wife of Menelaus, Agamemnon's brother.

A hundred thousand apologies for the error! :-[ :-[ :-[
