Well, the exhibition is over for another year, all the panic and late nights are over - time now to start planning next years exhibition! At a rough estimate we think we raised about £650 for the hall this year.
First, a very big Thank You to Damo, Gordon and Walter for all their help, it was a great weekend and wonderful to meet up with you all again, also thank you to Mark who came in to help during the week and to Verity who arrived early on Saturday to offer help and who it was great to meet for the first time.
I haven't had time to sort out photos yet, but here are just basic ones showing the exhibits, they don't really do the displays justice, but better, more detailed ones will follow later in the week when I have had time to sort them out.

Like I said, these photos don't show the scale or detail of the displays but are just something for those who can't wait to see what the exhibition was like.

The displays are wonderful, Elaine! It is mind boggling to think of all the work and planning that went into this. So glad that you had help from so many playmo friends. :yup: I have never seen the circus tents before so I was drawn to that immediately, but Hogwarts is amazing. Love all the train setups, the school and let's face it everything! :love: Thanks so much for bringing us along on the ride Elaine!

Loved Hogwarts and Hogsmead!!! Hagrid's hut, the Shriking Shack, the Post office with the owlery, the Hogwarts' Express!!! Everything is there! Love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damo's safari and Gordon's display were also my favorites..... I hope to see more pics of the rest, but IM sure they were all amazing!

So impressive how Hogwarts and Hogsmeade came to life. And I really really want to have a western street now too, it looks incredible :D

Amazing displays!! You guys did such a wonderfull job!! I love them all!! the train looks most impressive and Hogwards is awesome!! I also like the simplicity of your backgrounds, the painted desert, the green tablecloth on the dinos!! Its so amazing!! thank you for sharing these pics with us Elaine!! and well done to all of you!!!

Elaine - what a fantastic event - your village is lucky to have you! The photos are exciting and I look forward to seeing more when you have the time to post them. Gordon's train/fire/rescue display is particularly impressive and I love the custom color of your Victorian houses. Well done all!

I agree, good photos Walter.
I knew they were taken before Monday because on Sunday evening Junior put my avatar in a hospital bed! :lol:
I've still to sort out the rest of my photos - close ups etc. Hope to do it this weekend. Still dismantling things also - have to take down Hogwarts tomorrow :'(

Not only the dioramas are wonderful but it is so nice to put faces on names that I have seen around so many times on PF :love:

Here's a link to a video ride round the rail layout as promised (and, for once, earlier than promised!). The trip is round the track one and a bit times forwards and then backwards so you're seeing where you've been.

Thanks for the pics of this event and the video!
I especially like the Western setting, the medieval steck, the different coloured mansions, the circus and the train (as I'm not really fan of most of the modern themes)...
Were there only schooners in the pirates' display, none of the bigger ships??

What a great exhibit! I must admit, I did get a bit queasy on the train ride. Walt, I can hardly wait to see how you did your fire. I think the best photo, however, was the group photo. Internet friends, like PF, are such a great addition to life and it was great to see all of you. Thank you for sharing your great exhibition. Congratulations to all.

Sorry I haven't put the other photos on yet, I've been at the hall every spare minute I have had this week trying to sort everything out. Just got Hogwarts to dismantle now, but everything else has been sorted out and all reorganised. Apart from those odd annoying pieces in my 'Assorted items' drawer, everything is in its correct place. :) Just got to fit it all in the house somehow :lol:
So hopefully photos will follow soon...

Thank you all for your kind comments, they're much appreciated, but Elaine, of course, deserves the real credit for organising the whole exhibition. I've photos to post, but I'll wait until Elaine has posted hers and then just fill in any "gaps"; the rest I'll put up on photobucket and post a link to the folder.
