Welcome to Round Three of the Marketon Jousting Tournament
We want to start with a brief update on Lord Alderran of Avelina. After his injury yesterday there was some concern he might not be able to finish the Tourney. We’ve had confirmation from his camp that he will in fact be competing later today.
That’s good to hear, these knights are some pretty tough fellows.

To start the day off with Group A we have Sir Lawrence of Cashtown

Sir Baldthar starts the day off with some fancy shield work, trying to pull in at the last moment. His timing is just that bit off though and Sir Lawrence hits the shield. Sir Baldthar also managed a shield hit this run so the score is tied 1-1

Things are heating up a bit here as Sir Lawrence gets his lance above Sir Baldthar’s shield and manages a body strike. He doesn’t get away free though as Sir Baldthar swings his lance and gets a head strike off of Sir Lawrence.
The score is still tied, now at 3-3

Sir Lawrence tries a similar high lance this run, Sir Bladthar sees it coming and attempts to duck but isn’t quite fast enough. He manages a shield hit off of Sir Lawrence but it’s not enough.
Sir Lawrence gets the win 5 points to Sir Baldthar’s 4

Jack Fearless makes a risky move and lowers his shield at the last moment. The risk pays off and Sir Fergus misses. Meanwhile Jack has managed a shield hit for an additional point.
Score tied now at 2

Jack Fearless has his shield down again but Sir Fergus isn’t able to take advantage. A nice shield strike by Jack gets him a third point and a win for this match.

In our final match for Group B we have General Sir Agnar of Krull
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%203/B/2/mj-3-b-2-1.jpg)

against Alban de Fleury

-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%203/B/2/mj-3-b-2-3.jpg)
They both come out aggressively this run and perhaps aren’t as cautious with their shields as they might be.
The General manages a tap to de Fleury’s helmet while de Fleury gets a good poke at the General’s shoulder
That’s puts it at a tie 2 points each
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Group%20Rounds/Round%203/B/2/mj-3-b-2-4.jpg)
They’ve both played it a little more carefully this run and we end up with two misses.

Alban de Fleury shows some real expertise here with a nicely done shield feint. He gets a solid hit to General Sir Agnar’s shield but avoid being hit himself.
That gives de Fleury the third point and a win for this match.

In Group A we had wins today by The Wandering Knight of Chateau de Lily and Sir Lawrence of Cashtown. That gives both two wins, and after yesterday’s performance Knight Josephus Gottgens also has two wins. Who moves on to the playoffs for Group A will come down to total points scored among these three.
The point totals for their matches are 8 for the Wandering Knight and 9 each for Sir Lawrence and Knight Josephus. That means even though he had a win today the Wandering Knight of Chateau de Lily won’t be moving on to the playoffs. It will be Sir Lawrence of Cashtown and Knight Josephus Gottgens.
In Group B we had wins today from Alban de Fleury and Jack Fearless of Eulenburg.
That makes 3 wins for de Fleury, and General Sir Agnar of Krull had 2 wins coming out of rounds 1 and 2
They will both be moving on to the playoff bracket.
