After my trip through Europe I decided that my castle needed to be rebuilt. ;D
But instead of my normal castles (purely military structures)
I decided I would make my castle into a living area as well for my Royalty.
I also decided that I would make my Castle much larger then I previously have.
To kick it off, I used almost all my steck to create: The Royal Halls.

The first room you enter through the gate is the Antechamber.
I will add lots of things to this room to make it a showcase for the treasures of Rutileo.
You can enter through the door across the room to the Dining hall and main Throne room,
or go up the stairs to enter the other rooms of the Halls.

The Main throne room and Dining hall is two stories high.
At the end of a long hall there sits Aun's Throne,
On days of feasting or celebration, the hall will be filled with tables.
Through the door at the back of the hall there is the servants room
which includes a kitchen to serve the dining hall or the Kings own needs.

Up the stairs in the Antechamber there is a second throne room,
Though this room has many purposes.
It is also used in war time as a planning room,
it is made for private meetings with the king,
And it is the king and his family's own dining room.

Through the hallway above the kitchens you walk to the far end to a stairway leading up to the final floor.
The top floor is the kings own apartments, though the top floor is vital during a siege.
Thus the part of this floor closest to the outer walls is prepared for war.

Once you enter the final space of the third floor,
Kings apartment though, they are completely for the king.

Great building! And I love the way you used focus in the pics (I'm afraid it's beyond my abilities) - really effective!
-
thats a really great building Warrior!!! Love it! Looks very functional!!!
-
Thanks guys!
My next castle will be impregnable! ;D
So every building is made to withstand a siege.

Yes, do put all of your valuables next to the front door where they're easier to get to...
>:D
-
Very impressive WoT!
Joe

Do you have an overview pic of the complete castle?

Haha, thieves have tried many times to steal the many treasures of Rutileo,
And consequently all have been hanged.
-
thieves who get caught called loosers!
thieves are those that we believe they were in crime scene and we do not know anything else!
Beautiful keep! please show us the rest!
-
Very nice, WoT! Your royals do need a place to live!
-
Is the fuschia/dark pink guy an original color or did you paint his torso? If he is original, what is his set number? I love that color and the rest of the place, Pgal

Forgot to reply to this comment,
I do not have any more of the castle completed. :-\
This is the beginning of a much larger project
that will take me a long time to build.
This alone took nearly all my steck collection to build. :o

Though the legs can't be seen, I'd say it it's one of the Barbarians, stripped off of all his accessories. Possibly this one with different legs: http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-00-8930
Beautiful keep, WoT! Though maybe a bit small for a king...obviously you need more Steck!

Very curious about the rest of the castles plans.

Excellent Stuff Sire !!!!

I love how you've come up with all these specific rooms (planning and scheming room, check ). I'm looking forward to seeing all the furniture in place.

Hi WoT,
Very nice start to what will hopefully be a much larger castle!
I, too, like your work on having a hall, chambers and kitchen -- no castle was ever without these. Indeed, most medieval knights and aristocrats never had the resources to build their own castles, but no self-respecting medieval lord would have been without a hall (for feasting, conducting 'public' business and dispensing justice) and a chamber (for more private conversations and sleeping).
Good luck in the hunt for more Steck, so you can keep expanding!
Cheers,
AndrewL

Thanks guys!
Maybe one day I will improve upon this design a bit...
But not until I finish the rest of my Castle. ;D
