The City of Playmobil Fire Department was kept busy over the 4th of July weekend with 2 working fires.
The first fire came in as a possible explosion and fire at 56 Short Vine. Upon arrival Engine Company 3 reported a working fire at that location.
The Fire was kept to a one alarm and was brought under control in about 15 minutes. Truck Company 2 set up there ladder in case it was needed.

The Second Fire occurred at 1432 Galaxy Way. Lieutenant Baker (acting district 2 supervisor) reported that Engine 5 reported a heavy fire load on the second floor of a 2-story vacant dwelling. The fire was brought under control with the help of a second alarm complement. The cause of the fire was found to be local juveniles using fireworks.
Units on the 1st alarm - Engine 5, 4, 3 Ladders 4 and 6 Car 5
Units on the 2nd alarm - Engines 1, 2 Ladder 2, Squad 3 with MAC 1 and the Special response unit.

Due to the heat of the day and the time it took to put the fire out there was a great need for Firefighter's air cylinders to be filled.
-
The fire was kept to the rear of the structure but caused extensive damage.

A very busy day there, Ben, and nicely reported with excellent photos. Your use of street and firefighter names and truck numbers is a great detail idea. Many thanks for the update on the Department.
I like the BA equipment trolley, very neat.

Hmmm ... One fire called in as an explosion and fire and the second the result of fireworks ... :hmm:
It appears, Ben, that the Fourth of July created some real problems for your FD.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be enough information available at this time to determine if the two fires were related.
Great pictures, Ben !!!
Thanks for sharing.
All the best,
Richard

Hi FireChief.
Your photos are awesome!!!
Are your structures made out of plywood? They burn quite realistically.
Fantastic work.

Hello Ben
Excellent as always and very detailed :). I really do look forward to seeing your pictures and can't wait to see more. I really do like how you create your buildings and how well they burn. You have certainly inspired me to do some experiments with real fire at some point in the future.
Kindest Regards Tim :)

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for the compliments, they're much appreciated.
Jimbo - Thanks for the comments, and yes that is plywood. I usually use luan (if thats how it is spelled) for all of my buildings.
