Since the weather was nice and hot today, some of my Conquistadores - stationed in the Americas of the 16th century - decided to leave their fortifications and go explore the neighbourhood, in search for gold and glory ... ;D
After a long and difficult journey of several weeks...humm...hours ;D through the dense jungle, in which they were quickly decimated by poisinous arrows during attacks by sneaky native tribes, by the most horrible diseases, by lack of food and by contaminated water, a small remaining group was still heading towards their goal ("let's move forward" their motto was :P )...
A goal that most of them thought only existed in the mind of "Don Franco de Benidorm", a Spanish nobleman who used to run taverns for elderly tourists in Spain, and who sailed to the New World to make (even more) fortune...
In the middle of the pic, you see the Don's loyal righthand, Capitan Fernando Tabasco...
-
Don Benidorm is also mounted off course, the soldiers have to walk...
-
The vegetation keeps getting denser, the footsoldiers must cut a path with their weapons...
-
But... something shows up in the distance... it looks like the scouts in front made a discovery.
-
The travellers get closer... they found a large manmade stone wall and a small ruined building...
Could this be... an entrance to... Don Franco de Benidorm's ultimate goal: the lost city of El Dorado ?! :o
TO BE CONTINUED (MAYBE) ;D
-
   Fantastic! You HAVE to continue it!
Hope you didn't loose any small part in the "jungle" ;D
-
Let's move forward, huh? ;) I love it! Very good jungle shots. ;D
-
You HAVE to continue it!
Okay, but then you'll have to move the thread to story-telling... ;)
And I'm just improvising as I go...
-
Deal!
DONE! ;D
-
This is excellent!! Can't wait for the rest.
-
Excellent, Erwin, there must be more to come, please.
The blending of Playmobil and the real world is great and beautifully photographed. Keep on making it up as you go along, it's working very well. The names of characters, again, are great fun.
The vegetation gets keeping denser, the footsoldiers must cut a path with their weapons...
I know what you mean, but I think you meant to write "The vegetation keeps getting denser..."
The Conquistadores look just the job. I must admit they are very tempting with a view to creating English Civil War customs, but I'd better not go down that road!
-
Thanks :)
So it will continue...even this very evening ;)
I know what you mean, but I think you meant to write "The vegetation keeps getting denser..."
Yes, you're right...I switched the verbs and didn't notice :-[

After the scouts verified there are no hostile natives or alien abductors inside, Don Franco de Benidorm gives his men the order to enter the ruins. Though he burns from greed at the thought of possible treasure - and from the hot sun - he lets others go first.
A "chinese volunteer" is left behind to guard the horses...
-
They go through a short corridor, and arrive at an inner space.
All kinds of strange, creepy animals crawl around between the ancient stones...
-
The inner space has no ceiling, but is surrounded by walls and stretches further out exactly 0,863 Km. (since I was there anyway to shoot the pics, I measured it)
As the place looks totally abandonned, they decide to go further to explore...
-
While the sun starts to set, one of the smarter soldiers discovers at the light of his toarch a strange marking on the wall...
-
Don Franco approaches to get a good look on the mysterious hieroglyf...
-
They decide it couldn't possibly stand for VolksWagen.
But then... some beams of the soon-setting-southern-sun reveal beneath it another, even more mysterious native(?) writing! :omg:
-
;D
To (probably) be continued...
-
Great story! I love it. ;D
More please....
-
Okay, but then you'll have to move the thread to story-telling... ;)
And I'm just improvising as I go...
Every photo and story I have done was improvised! Looks great. I really like your conquistadors!
-
     I loved it.
we don't accept "probably"s >:(
;D
-
EDIT: I've replaced the pics of the 2nd part by the same pics but containing some text-lines.
-
:giggle: great additions :giggle:

There must be at least three parts to a serial, Hadoque, so you must write at least one more part.
The second part is an excellent continuation - you have a great knack for storytelling and a wonderful sense of humour.
-
   Good one!!!
-
This is absolutely hilarious!   Magister Google and Belgibub!
-
 That's really funny!
Greetings
Vauban

Great story so far, and very funny
-
WARNING:
Due to bad weather-conditions in Belgium this story is temporarely being rerouted.
;D
-
So, as a consequence, we'll have to wait to know what happens further with "Don Franco de Benidorm" and his fellow conquerers... :P
At the very same time the Spanish are wondering about the inscriptions on the wall in the ruin, magister "Googlos" - a mysterious man and personal advisor of Don de Benidorm - just completed a training in his home country, and is now travelling to the Americas to join Don Benidorm on his journey.
But sometimes a traveller gets a bit lost ... ;D
-
England, "Royston Castle", Anno Domini 1291.
It is early in the morning and everthing seems quiet...
-
No one guards the entry to the main building, would there even be inhabitants in this remote
shop...ehrr.. castle?
-
Ah, at least there is someone in the tower!
Hmm... a strange looking guy though...
And what does he say? :hmm:... never heard that language before... ???
-
Suddenly the door of the castlehouse sweeps open...
Lord "Edward Tubbington", the sole remaining human inhabitant of the castle after the latest strike of the plague, gets out for some fresh air... but then he spots the man in the tower! :o
-
Swift as the wind, the man that had appeared in the tower gets down the stairway...
-
Lord Edward Tubbington and the strange man meet at the castle's terras...
The lord's dog has awaken and comes to sniffle the visitor.
-
The Lord doesn't seem very pleased with the magister's answer and he draws his sword...
-
It comes to a fight, and magister Googlos has also to reach for his weapon... 8}
The lord swings his sword towards Googlos' head, but the old magister cunningly avoids the blade...
-
As the struggle continues, Edward Tubbington is about to make a decisive swordstrike, but magister Googlos' akward weapon starts to glow...
A kind of powerfull lightning soars from Googlos' weapon and hits Lord Tubbington, his sword ... and the dog.
-
The result is bizar and the lord is...well...disabled somehow.
Tubbington's amazing personality change redirects his interests, and he is no longer a threath (though female rabbits may think differently about that).
The magister meanwhile reaches his magic tool towards his own head! :0
-
This is hilarious, hadoque!   I love silly stories like this!
-
A bright light appears and...
TO BE CONTINUED (if all goes well) ;D
-
Thanks Bonnie ;)
I've put some inside-jokes in this episode, which hopefully the UK-members will be familiar with... The jokes refer to the comedy "League of Gentlemen", that aired some years ago on the BBC and here on TV as well.

The Lord doesn't seem very pleased with the magister's answer and he draws his sword...
Hmmm... Sure he is not already in America?
"Local castle, for local peoples"??? :hmm: ;)
And hey, cool fact! Apparently bunnies are Italian. :o
-
Hmmm... Sure he is not already in America?
No, in England ;D
"Local castle, for local peoples"??? :hmm: ;)
BBC-"Leage of Gentlemen"-joke; this TV-comedy series is about a crazy town called "Royston Vasey" with a sinister "local shop for local people" ;)
