Title: Missing part from grand bathroom...

I just received and opened my new grand bathroom... directly from Playmobil USA... It's missing the white square top to the the shelf thing with the baskets. So, I called and asked if they could send it and they said no because it's not available yet. They should at least give me the option to send back that set and replace it with one that's complete. Her answer is to call back in a couple weeks and see if the part is available. :(

I tried to make a little top out of plastic, but nothing looks as good as the real thing. :(

It will become available eventually, but you should send an email to customer service at Playmobil with what you've said so you have a written record of it.

Yes, that is not acceptable customer service. They should send you a complete set. I'd definitely email a complaint to the customer service department.

Ok, I will send an email to insure I receive the part eventually. I don't mind waiting, but I wish they could have placed me an order for it when it does become available rather than just having to keep calling back.

In the end, I'm not using the teal shelf or medicine cabinet after all. The color clashed with my brown and pink bathroom. I still want the shelf to be complete, but the wait won't kill me now.

After they told you that the missing piece was not available, the best thing might have been to return the whole set to PM USA for a replacement - this is what one would normally do with any other retailer.  The person you spoke to should have suggested this to you.  But it sounds as if you are already enjoying the set and don't mind waiting for the missing part.  I do agree with the others, though, that this was not good customer service and may be worth a complaint, if you feel like going to the trouble.   :)
