Title: New farm set 5961
Post by: flatcat on June 27, 2011, 21:09:06
Here is I think the first view on this forum of one of the sets mentioned in Hadoque's thread; farm set 5961:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Playmobil-Value-Farm-Set-5961-/380350687828?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item588eaaea54 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Playmobil-Value-Farm-Set-5961-/380350687828?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item588eaaea54)

It is not special at all, it just looks like this one: 4066 - Farm (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4066)

Thanks, Damo.

Kerrison's always used to be a place we would visit when we went to Norwich because they had a big supply of Playmobil.  It was handy as it is on the main road we drove in on and had parking space.

I went in to Kerrisons last year when we went to Norfolk on holiday.  I didn't buy anything and the staff were not very helpful when I asked about stuff they had on the website but not in store.

And I agree the farm is not very exciting I would rather spend £50 on the standard one.   :-\

thanks for the link  :)
Strange the set is listed in the UK... I thought it would be a US/Canada exclusive because of the set-number.  ???

The website and shop are often quite separately run and this may be the case with Kerrison's.

Good point. ;) What ever happened to barn red as a possible color for a barn? Red barn, white Xs on the door, black or gray roof.... children older than three are just as likely as not to enjoy realistic colors over fisher price colors.

I like the colors on this set. They don't look unrealistic to me.
Maybe the dark red barn is something typical in USA only...?

We don't have those here.... so maybe it is the same in Europe.

Yes, it may be a USA thing, I suppose.

Barns and farm buildings in the UK are very boring. They are either all dark wood, or the later ones a dark grey made from asbestos concrete sheets, and now just plain metal sheets.

I love those red and white wooden painted barns from in the US
