Great set up and so happy for you that you finally managed to get one. Is there a perpetual mist in Greece as your pictures are all a bit blurred?

It's not mist. The lens is wet from the tears George cried when he eventually got this set.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

No tears and no mist ( the word mist remind me of this horror  scifi movie  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XKSmoxldl8&feature=related  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XKSmoxldl8&feature=related) which i consider on of the best for its kind and see this trailed of the massive monster at the end and the soundtrack..superb cinema though chilling ...)

Looks very impressive.  As for the iffy photos, I think it's steam either from the loco or from George's bank manager when he saw the bill!   ;D

I've been making my way through older posts that I haven't yet read and did see your Greek Western diorama.  It was most impressive with your combined collections.  The Western theme is a great one! :cowboy: :indian:

It is indeed Justindo !!!! Actually about 18 months ago i bought 4 additional wetsern forts and like 150 confederates etc . I have never set up my western collection , have a few sets from the 80s but still missing a lot of the wetsern houses and their prices are sometimes ridiculously high .. however in the future i plan to get various missing western items and set a big diorama that will also use various victorian sets as they match perfectly. I got like 80-90 ( dont remember ) confederate officers from ds and got the confederate saddles and bedrols , you can see my confederate army and cavalry in the diorama for playmobil , i  have a custom generalrobert  lee , jeb  stuart and james  longstreet having their picture taken from a victorian photographer  ;)

THe western hold a special place in my heart as it was the very first  playmobil ( along with some builders and policemen ) i got and played with when i was a kid in the late 70s etc . I loved the playmobil back then and my favorite sets were the western fort , the bank, indians etc..... i still have boxed all of my old playmobil somewhere , havent opened these boxes since the early 90s when they were packed but they are there i have checked . next time i unpak these klickies it will be the first time they are played with since the late 80s.....

Your Confederates and custom officers are very impressive, Giorginetto! :wow:  When you decide to collect a theme, you really do it right!

The Western theme holds a special place in my heart too, as I collected mostly the Western theme as a child, along with a couple Knight and Pirate themed sets.  I really would like some of the older Western buildings too, but they are expensive, as you point out.  I've tried to add some Western sets to my collection in the few couple years as well and I hope Playmobil continues to release their older sets like the school house through DS. :cowboy:
