Hey everyone - greetings from Portugal ;)
I see some known "faces" around...
Anyways, I've been a lonnnngtime playmomaniac, but been out of it for years, since I lack the space. At the time I just bought every set, every theme (had a serious problem, I think).. but the truth is I don't have where to put them.. So I just backed away... And since it depressed me, I kinda faded from the online playmoworld as well :( That's why playkingdoms is mostly abandoned...
I always knew I was making a big mistake (double the fool, I know).. since I KNEW I'd be back someday. There's no love like the first, we say here.
Anyways, a few weeks ago I found, right next to my workplace, a couple of gorgeous playmostatues (from Leblon-Delienne (http://www.leblon-delienne.com)) I didn't even know existed. There was a nurse and a fireman... I'd buy them both, but discovered they weren't the only ones, so I decided to be a bit more selective (meaning my sister got some sense into me!)...
I got the nurse and tried to hunt the older ones (a knight, which is the one I really want, a sheriff and an indian), but no luck. In the meantime, stupid retarded me found out there was FINALLY a playmoPT store. In fact, it's spanish, they answer in spanish and all... but they ship here :)
So, I got the workman statue from them, and decided that if those older three ever cross my path.. they're mine!
Anyways, that nurse (it was one of our first sets, actually, she'll be 31 come xmas), in spite of having only one "bracelet", inspired me to FINALLY get to it. Though I think it'll take MONTHS to sort through stuff.
Spent another weekend sorting and bathing my playmoguys.. Problem is I'm still in the first couple of big tubs in one corner of one room. The room is almost full. And there's another room. Sigh. My finger is bloody from removing hair from repeats.
Well, sorry for the long post. I tend to ramble about playmobil, animals, concerts and tv/movies/books. I'm scary that way. You'd think with age would come wisdom, or at least a bit of sense, but that saying is a complete LIE.
Now I'll try to keep up. Wish me luck, I'll need it ;)

Greetings, Queen Tahra! ;)
What a nice surprise! It's good to see you getting interested in Playmo again. 8-)
I was running out of room here a little while back and had to sell off some sets. It's very easy for me to get carried away and want to buy everything, but now I try hard to stick only to my very favourite themes.
Have fun at PlaymoFriends! :)

Have we met before, Cachalote?
??? i don't know tahra.
;) if we did it would probably be under a different scenario.
i always felt as a "lonely" portuguese collector from oporto, knowing nobody else besides our fellow playmofriends (and, before, our playmoboardians).
i still have some doubts if i should join the portuguese forum - http://playmogal.freeforums.org/ - because i doubt if i will have the time to be an active member there.
but, as i said, maybe we have met - who knows.
you can always check an ancient thread - http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=2885.0 - and "see" for yourself. :)

Edit: I WAS too far away - yesterday I popped my first mini click... Fortunately I had washed a bag full of capes, and there were even a couple of gnome beards around.. I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT. WOW. So many possibilities ;D

Yeah... very small part. Just the top of one mountain. Sigh.
Playmospace never really appealed to me back in the day. I had a small ship my college friends gave me one bday... Then later, a friend from work gave me his leftover playmo - including some playmospace. Gods. Had to hunt the rest. I THINK I have almost everything. Might miss a couple of the smaller sets. And that brazilian space station - reviewed at playkingdoms.

I love PlayKingdoms ...
(To this day Crystal now and again gets to hear me mentioning something that reminds her of "You are special", my favourite postcard ... Which eventually I still send to people who are special to me.)
It's wonderful to have one more of that crew here ... In a way it was thanks to you, and other stuff I found in the internet in 2008 that I decided to put playmo again in my wardrobes :) (I gave them all, when I was around 20 :-[ ...)
I hope you enjoy it here.
a belated Welcome Tahra!
(Also glad to know we speak the same language, along with cachalote ;D )
