I often see this set loose on eBay, and so far I have never seen it complete.

The yellow 'mattresses' or 'blankets' shown on the box front always seem to be missing.
What I would like to know is whether those yellow pieces were made of plastic or felt, so I know what I'm looking for to complete the set. :)

Hi Sylvia,
I suspect that the yellow pieces are made of thin pieces of yellow foam. (Squishy packing material)
They used the foam for the crib in the old western house (3769), and I think I have a bed in red that also has that foam.

Thanks for the tip, Meg. :)
It seems likely as those sets come from a similar era.
The mattress in this cot (http://www.justforklicks.com/j4k/set_pics/3593.jpg) is probably made from the same stuff too, I guess.

Yes, you are right.
I dont know the thikcness of the foam.
I assume it would be in mm rather than in.

The matresses are indeed made of light foam. I know it because I have that set. Unfortunately all my childhood playmobil is in disorder at various places of my parents' house. Should I ever happen to run across it, I'll post the thickness of it.

Thanks for the confirmation, bogol. :)
I've seen some foam sheets sold in craft shops here which might make a good substitute.
Will have to check it out. ;)
