I personally find it difficlut to mix these legs with newer body parts (so I do retain some completely 'nostalgic' looking klickies in their old forms ;)
seeing that our forum is a little quieter after our Pilot club excitement has ended, I thought I can post this question and hope you can share/show what your feelings about these old legs are or what you've done with them :love:
(I have quite a number of old-type legs resting(?) in my spare boxes)
these I did many many years ago(I only sprayed their 'shoes'(I still wont allow myself to spray larger areas like the whole leg(otherwise I would have run wild and started customising Vietcongs even :lol:) ;

I like what you've done with them! I have always HATED these old style legs, and try my best not to ever use them. But I am occasionally stuck with some. I may try a little paint on them to make them look better as you have done.

That is a brilliant idea cheng!!! thank you for sharing it with us!!!!
-
Excellent, cheng, beautifully done.
I'm don't really like them unless they are the all black ones which serve well enough as a figure wearing black trousers and shoes.
-
Great job Cheng! :wow:
I have been thinking of making a few oldtimey klickies,
but need to spray their legs like this. :)
Any tips? ;D

I don't like the old leg style. I do however like them when there is leg armor on them. :knight:

thanks everyone,
and dear Gordon, agreed, the all black old-type legs are an exception, they really look very smart on a Prussian policeman or British beef eater ;)
and Eric, I use them for Red Indians or cowboys fitted with those what-you-call leather leg covers ;D
so bb, dont throw them away! ;) ...they are useful when youre working on customising a klicky and need temporary legs for hodling or clamping into vices, (ouch! :P )

"usual" tips WoT;
mask carefully, patiently spray in thin layers, remove masking tapes before the paint dries and voila, 'factory sprayed' ;)

:lol: I don't think I've ever thrown away any playmobil yet, except system x pieces that end up in the vacuum cleaner! :lol: :lol: :lol: But yeah, you're right; if you want to put on certain wearables, like moccasins or clown shoes or clogs, you gotta have the old style legs!

I loooooooove the brown horse!!!!! :o
-
Great horses! beautiful details! You've posted them on your early days here Cheng right?
-
thanks and sorry WolfKnignt :P , I've sprayed these horses maybe back in 2005 but forgotten that I have shown them here just last year...sign of old age :-[ :P ;D :lol:

Well, it's ok, because I didn't remember seeing them! They look great. :)9

Hey Cheng, the leather things on the cowboy legs are called chaps. I forgot about those, and I like them too! Forgot about them.
