No, no, no.....this is not a Rocket from Playmobil....sorry :'(
But I think this is compatible... ::)
Few days ago, I see for sale a plastic kit of a Rocket...1/20 scale!!! 8}
Very fast I buy the kit and more fast go home to open the box.
Well, the first is look for the scale correct.....I see some video on YouTube and photos on Google....books....
Compare the size of the main wheel.......is correct!!!
Next step.....take parts and assemble the basics to see if you fit the gauge LGB....and....no compatible :-\
Wheelbase is 1 cm. wider than the width of track.....
After a careful study to see where you can modify and reduce the distance between the wheels ....I take a solution very easy for machine and tender.
Now, I need time to finish this model and motorized.....but this is a DREAM ;D

The scale is reeeeeeeally good! that would make a really nice set!
-
The entire dream would be to make a convoy with Playmobil Far West diligences like on this De Witt Clinton.
Wee need three....more or less.....and very good hands for make custom modifications

That would be fantastic! I love to see customs like this, totally different from what Geobra has to offer. Please keep us posted about how the project is coming along.
-
interesting.... :lens:

Could we see a photo or could you explain:
How did you reduce the gauge to LGB = 45 mm?
Thank you!
-
Wow! That is very nice. Great compatibility with the Playmobil klicky.
Can't wait to see the finished product.
Best regards,
Jimbo

An interesting project!

Hi Mcgayver......yes, this is the perfect model !!!
Well, I'll try to explain all better .... but my English is very bad....sorry!!
I take new photos and I wrote two little notes in the kit instructions...1 image X 1000 words.... ;D
I used Evergreen plastic round rods for make the axes. This is a static model "by now" :-[
Now, the pushers of the piston are more separated from the main wheel....normal....the solution is easy....to put a rod a little longer between the pusher and the wheel.
I take a photo of the original axe and the new "Evergreen" axe....look the diferent size!!

The back of the locomotive.....the tender-chassis and the box of the Kit....
I´m no an expert on this theme....but I think this is a Old Kit from Airfix reedited.
-
Overviews and a new idea....the tank "Derailer" of Dr. Loveless ( Wild Wild West).....also, very similar scale......I love the Steam Era
-
That turned out great. I like how you got it to fit the rails.
-
Where did you get that ' Derailer ' from ? is is available in shops/ ebay ????

Yes, I find that on Ebay.....To find I use words like "derailer tank"....is only a toy, my dream is make a train like this....

I wonder if the confederate army ever made this in real life, they sure made the first submarine and a coupleof other war inventions at the time....
