Hey-hey!

Arnaud

wow, I love the grey pattern in the firts pic horse's caparison!!!
-
Thanks Gaston, it's pretending to be a chain mail. Made from iron discs with a hole in the middle, sewn to the cloth beneath and each rank overlapping the next. (Hope my explanations are clear).

-
I love the first one, too! All excellent work. Well done!
-
The first one looks perfectly like chain mail. That would look fantastic on the front and back of klickies.
-
The Black Wyvern is... (http://playsued.forumprofi.de/images/smilies/ohnmacht.gif)
Magnificent Arnaud!!!

Someone from Garden Wargaming has been making quite a few of these for quite a while now,
I believe it was Cooster. :)

-
I like them all, thanks for sharing
-
Thanks all! ;D ;D ;D
@WoT: I know cooster's customs. Yet, he didn't make a horse coat. ;)
OK, so here's more!
You already saw this one, but I made another one, he's Saint Andrew's Lion knight.
New Gutenstein horsecoat
(http://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx266/cowabounga/P1090992.jpg)
My coat of arms on a new style of horse coat (belt buckles to hang the chain mail)

WOW! :omg:
The hanging chainmail is great!
I love the buckles.

so do you have piles of these customs or do you keep removing the decals
-
Thankssssss!
@Ras: answer A: lots of customs. ;D
-
Thanks Gaston, it's pretending to be a chain mail. Made from iron discs with a hole in the middle, sewn to the cloth beneath and each rank overlapping the next. (Hope my explanations are clear).
A.
It actually looks three dimensional! :wow:
-
They are all incredible, Arnaud. I'm speechless!
-
The new chain mail style is great and your new hanging chain mail seems very realistic!!
Also your new Gutenstein is very improved.
My favorite is the Ibelin family Knight and i was loved also the Black Wyvern coat of arms but i think he needs more metal parts on him.
As always your work can leave us speechless.
It is sad! but one year ago i used to visiting Paris very often to visit a friend of mine and i could see those beautiful knights collection in real !!
-
Thanks Gordon!
So here are the last two:
The green flower (?) knight.
And the red flower knight.
The definite shields for those two will have a yellow outline so the glue doesn't show all around the designs.
That's it for now. I'm preparing more but it might take a few days...
Arnaud
-
Two more nice customs, Arnaud, and I look forward to what you'll produce next.
-
I REALLY love those last two!
-

Thanks Gordon, Bonnie, Angelo and George.
@giorginetto: I'll send you an update later when I'm through with all those knights. I still have to show you the Nürnberg horse coat ( with a re-drawn eagle), and Charlemagne and some Hospital knights! Plus a few surprises!
It might take some time, my hands are already sore from sandpapering all those horse coats!

-
Merci Jérémy!
@WoT: actually, these two knights and some others are historical. Check out the Codex Manesse on Wiki. You'll see I used a lot of those for Shields as well as caparisons. ;)
Arnaud.
-
Superb customs and heraldry, Arnaud! :)9

He! He!
Hospital knight with chain mail caparison...front.
And back.
Lorraine knihgt
(http://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx266/cowabounga/2ea80afe.jpg)
And here, I wanted to see how this helmet would look with a crown on top. So here it is. The crown sits as low as possible on the helmet without actually making a hole in it. Though, of course, I had to drill both the outside of the helmet and the inside of the crown.
That's it for now!
Thank you all for your kind comments!
@George: PM this afternoon.
Ciao!
Arnaud
-
The crown is a great touch, although I'd also suggest you try and cut the helmet as well... just to see how it looks!
-
Cowabunga Sire, can you make a Nuremberg Insignia King Knight , one with a crown on top of his helmet and generally a really royal king Knight with the Playmo Nuremberg Insignia on ??? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I am very interested to get 10 identical Nuremberg Knights, please PM me any variation of these , Sir if possible and the others of course , so many to choose from !!!!
Perhaps i should get 50 knights from you and creat a magestic Krull round room knights ( they wont fit around a table for sure ) and and have 100 knights each with their own banner etc etc... what a great thought this is !!!!!!
-
The Hospital knight looks fantastic (one of your best yet!), however I wasn't aware of them being in other colors then white with a red cross. And about the crown, I also think that if you cut the helmet it would sit better.
-
OK George! Here is the custom caparison I made for the Nüremberg Knights. I drew the eagle again, making it exactly like the original.
The horse is led by one of my new Saracens. He's wearing a chain mail as you can see. I think Luciano suggested I made these when I showed the horses' chain mails. So, how do you like it?
@George: I may not have time to update the caparisons this afternoon. After all, I have a job too! But I will have time tomorrow afternoon. Be patient, my friend.
May the Force be with you, guys!
Arnaud

I knew the chain mail would look great! Terrific! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/clapping.gif)

Those are Templars.
Hospitilars have a white cross, Templars have a red one.
The Hospitilars had a black tunic with white cross,
but changed it to a red tunic with white cross.
I think the Maltese cross was only after the siege of Malta. ???
Or only the Knight there had that cross until after it.
Magnificent Creations Arnaud! :wow: :wow: :wow:
I absolutely love the Turk's body sticker!
Supreamly excellent job! ;) :wow: :wow: :wow:
-
Sorry I wrote wrong, where I wrote red, please read black. But if the Hospitalars had a white cross on black, who had a black cross on white?
-
May The Force Be With You, Master CowaBunga
Missa thinkkks you can taaaake as much as he wants , Giorginetto is no hurry , Master , no hurry this is ..... !!!!!! ( In Jar Jar's accent )
-
Sorry I wrote wrong, where I wrote red, please read black. But if the Hospitalars had a white cross on black, who had a black cross on white?
The Teutonic Knights of course! ::)
There are so many! :P
-
Is that really an order? "Teutonic knights"? Wouldn't that be like saying "British knights"?
-
Is that really an order? "Teutonic knights"? Wouldn't that be like saying "British knights"?
They are, or were, the Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem! Teutonic knights was indeed their name, likt Templars, Hospitallers etc...
-
Oh, now I see, it's a form of "nickname". I found some info on them here:

Yes, sorry.
Like the Knights Templar were: The Knights of the Temple of Solomon,
the Hospitilars: The Knights of St. John
But I never knew the name for the Teutonic order, Until now. ;)

Hi guys!
I managed to make some time during my holiday to finish some more custom caparisons. I took the pictures outdoors for once. The grass needed mawing so it's a bit high for clickies, even riding horses. Actually I'd only brought along a couple of clickies and one horse...
Enjoy!
A caparison for Knight Christopher.
Two-tone Eagle head.
Three Blackbirds.

Black Unicorn V2.0
(http://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx266/cowabounga/P1100034.jpg)
And last: Hermines. I think they're called ermines in English too.
