I haven't posted in awhile because I've been busy opening my own toy shop. I have just come back from New York Toy Fair and was able to get an account. Playmobil will be one of my main toy lines and this soldier will be perfect for the shop. I've been collecting toys for a long time, opening a store is a dream come true. I'm in Port Townsend, the store is Whistle Stop Toys. No website yet, but you can find me on Facebook. I try to post pics of new stuff when it comes in. My frist Playmobil order is on its way and I'll be sure to take pics when it arrives. There is some amazing stuff coming out this year, including collectable figures similar to the LEGO ones that came out last year.

Wow, this is very exciting!!! (http://www.mazeguy.net/happy/jump.gif) Not just about the figure, though that is really fantastic, but also opening your own toy store and carrying lots of playmobil! That's everyone here's dream for sure. I can't wait to see pics of your store and of your first playmobil shipment!

Congratulations on all accounts. Where in Port Townsend are you going to be? In old town near the waterfront or inland? We used to go to Port Townsend every year for vacation on our boat when I was growing up, and I was just there a couple of years ago on a peninsula road trip, stopping to see the Adventuress, the 101 ft schooner, that I used to crew on. I wish you much success in your new venture. Keep us posted.

Congratulations on your new venture of opening a Brick & Mortar toy shop! Where is Point Townsend located? We wish you the best of luck, & hopefully we'll be able to do business with you through the internet once you tell us how to contact you with your address! Your store mascot is excellent!

Congratulations!
Port Townsend Washington yes? You are pretty close to Ronastoo then. It would be great if you can join us for our next regional meet whenever that is. I know Glazz will be doing the Puyallup train show next November so we may try for that one. If we don't make that then the Seattle show will be likely.

He's close to me! He's close to me!
Hooray! There will be a toy store to buy Playmobil that's closer than Seattle!

Yup, nobody else in town sells CCG's and I've been playing since 1994 so I figured what the heck, let's play. I'm also doing Pokemon :-)

Wow, someone actually knows Port Townsend! I'm down on Water Street in the Flagship Landing building. Very cool that you were on the Adventuress. This is a great town to live in and the water/boating is an added bonus.
For anyone that is wondering, Port Townsend is West of Seattle on the Olympic Peninsula on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Wet and rainy, but not as much as Seattle!

So, where are you located? It sounds like you're close. There are some other great shops in the area that carry Playmobil. I'm just the new guy on the block :-)

Thanks to everyone for their positive thoughts and well wishing. It's been very exciting opening the shop. Meeting with my sales Rep. in the Playmobil booth at the New York Toy Fair is one of the funnest things I've ever done!
I got to play with all of the new toys coming out this year and plan out my buying for the upcoming months. The Top Agents line is VERY cool in person. I can't wait for that theme. The new foam gliders fly great. I made one the reps "go long". I even got to see a new release announced the day before Toy Fair. It will be released in Europe and the US at the same time. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm wondering if people at the German toy show saw it too?
I will photograph and post to Facebook my first shipment when it arrives. I can't wait!

How exciting is this

My Playmobil shipment is supposed to arrive today. I'll be posting pics of that on facebook too...

The freight company lost my shipment (an entire pallet), and then, a week later found it! The shipment arrived today. Pics are posted on my Facebook page:

Playmobil sets minimum prices for their products, so I used those. I want to share as much as I can with the local community. I hate walking into a store to find inflated prices...My sales rep. and customer service at Playmobil has been very helpful getting me started. Lots of promotional material came with the shipment (two different banners, catalogs, shelf liners, signs, stickers...bags too).
Anyways, I just wanted to share the news and say that getting a pallet of Playmobil is as fun as you think it is! I'm still in shock. I'd love to give any of you guys a playmo-tour. Please stop in to say hello if you're ever in Port Townsend.

I am originally from Seattle, and our family boating vacation included Port Townsend every year. Your new shop looks great on facebook. What a wonderful location. Are you going to put the giant klicky outside? Hopefully he will be secured. I will definitely stop by the next time we are in the area. You are going to be ready for the tourist season for certain.

Thanks Wolf Knight! My pleasure. I update the page almost every day. Lots of new stuff has come in so I'm still putting pictures up. The Playmobil is my pride and joy. I'm already getting a new order ready. There's a lot of great stuff coming in April.
I hope I am ready Kaethe. My goal was to get settled in for the tourist season. Now that I have my Playmobil I feel ready for the Summer craziness.

Best of luck with the new venture.
