Hi Andi
And thanks for the link. Some of those heads are a little on the scarry side
-
Thanks indeed for that, andi. I hadn't realised how many different variations there were.
-
What a great idea! :D
Thanks for telling us about it, Andi. :)
Here's some more pics for your poster. ;)
I see Svea already mentioned that the face with lipstick is missing, so I have included it.
-
There are another 4 heads you are missing but also no pics
The head of 4572 - The Patch eye pirate
3449 - Museum - The knights armor has a head that was painted silver.
There was an addon that also had a suit of armour for display, but it was a different color. It was a bit darker, perhaps like a pewter. The head of the klickie would have been painted that color, two
And the scarecrow from set with a scarecrow and a boy with a pumpkin

And the scarecrow from set with a scarecrow and a boy with a pumpkin
I'd completely forgotten about that one!
Here's a couple of child-sized heads...
-
Hi,

Thats the actual stand !
many thx for your pics !!

Andi
-
Thats an interesting collection of heads, what a good Idea well done to all at Playmo-portal.
The only head that I don't see there is the very first heads for the klickys when the eyes and mouth where painted on.
There also appears to be no children there some had black eyes and mouth and others brown.
-
Hi,
ok i had make a update !
ENJOY at the first post !

This is quite cool 8-). Only the spare part numbers are missing :-[ ... ;D
And now the same please for hairs and beards (naturelly also including with spare part numbers)
... oh, yes, that would make me happy :D
-
I just wonder: there is no boy with blonde hair available?
-
I just wonder: there is no boy with blonde hair available?
Yes, there is. It just hasn't been photographed or added to the set yet. :)
I agree, spare part numbers for them would be great, but I can't see that ever becoming available. *sigh*
Another thing that would be useful would be if someone (with a lot of time on their hands! ;D) cross-referenced the heads by listing which sets the less common styles can be found in. :)
-
Cool thread ;D

Wow - I am amazed by how many different heads have been produced. Of course I am familiar with the basics, but the variety of native heads, for example, is very cool!
Thanks Andi and everyone else who contributed to this awesome resource!

Just realised that you have also included the rabbit heads is it just me or does anyone else think that they are a waste of plastic

Hello, Craig ...
I must warn you ... Customizer (Andi) loves the rabbits ... ::)
However, I agree with your statement that they're just a waste of plastic ... :yup:
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the "faithful" will now want to burn both of us at the Playmobil stake for heretics ... 8}
All the best,
Richard
-
I dont like the rabbits, either.
I dont know how well they sell in the US, but we are not running out of them.
-
I thought the rabbits were really weird to begin with, but I've grown accustomed to them now. :)
I'm still not rushing out to buy them though. I have 2 sets - the large Playscape and the bunny with wheelbarrow set.
What I do like about them, more than the figures, is some of the accessories that are included such as the carry basket which clips onto the shoulders, the green mushrooms and the easter eggs. I'm going to try and order these from the DS rather than buy the sets. ;)
Sorry for going slightly off-topic. Andi, I think you should start a new topic and post all the pics you have taken of your customised bunnies since they are really excellent and I'd like to see them again. Maybe Craig will change his mind about them if you make an ACW bunny. ;D
-
Hi,
I've got some white heads with blue eyes, just like the one with the patch eye.
If you need a photo i will post or send it to you.

:)
hi andy, i just went through my pirate's database and i think i found a couple of heads missing.
:o
i have both these sets but i don't know how to disassemble their heads.
even if i knew, i don't know if i would do it (it's kind of scary).
:hmm:
if you really need me for this, really, really need, i guess i will do it if someone teaches me how.
:)
thanks for your wonderful idea andi - you have produced a beautiful image.
-
I've certainly got 4614 and probably the other one too, so if andi wants just the head I'll yank it out of the body!
Once you've done it a few times and got used to the spurt of klicky blood, it's not too scarey. ;D
-
Many thanks but this heads are in the head collection !
row 9 number 2
and the woman
row 8 number 2
many thx for your help !
gentle greets
Andi
-
:yup: you are quite right andi.
:-[ somehow i missed them - i could have sworn the heads weren´t in the list i first saw.
;D i am glad no playmo-decapitation will be needed...
:) thanks again andi, for this great idea.
-
Fantastic heads collection.
Some members in Playclicks will help to maintain the archive. There are different types of Famobil heads that do not appear
-
Muchas gracias, Yoyei ...
We would love to see all the Famobil heads that are different from the regular Playmobil heads. I do not think that either Marx (Playpeople UK) or Schaper (Playmobil USA) made any different heads.
All the best mi amigo,
Richard

Janice
Hi Janice! Since Andi says its OK to copy and save it, I will try to explain how to capture the image. Is your computer Windows-based? If you are using a Mac, someone else may need to advise you. Anyhoo, for a windows system:
1) go to the first post in this thread where the big image of all the heads is located. (Andi has been editing the image over time, so it should be right up to date.)
2) position your cursor over the image and right click on it, then left click on "Save Picture As"
3) a window will open up showing your own document files so that you can choose the location where you wish to save the image. Don't save it quite yet, though.
4) the "File name" box will say "playmo-heads-60" (which you can change if you want) and the "Save as type" box will probably say "JPEG (*.jpg)" - I think it is better to scroll down and select "Bitmap (*.bmp) as this will allow you to see the image better once you have saved it.
5) click the "Save" button
6) now you can go to your own document file and open the image - you should be able to print it at this point, so you can put it into your notebook. I hope this works for you. :)
a shortcut: if you only want to print the picture and not bother saving it, then on step 2 above, just click on "Print picture" :yup: but be advised that you may need to tweak your printer settings as the image is very large

:) I'm glad it worked for you, Janice.
It's not a surprise that you are enjoying Playmofriends - it is a great place with many wonderful people - I was away myself for a few years but . . . just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in again. So, brace yourself, Playmo-obsession turns out to be a life-long condition. 8-)

I was astounded when I opened the first one (i.e. took the wig off -- here I miss again the smiley with a surgeon lamp on the forehead ...) and realized that this head is painted, exactly as the old klickys models ... :)
Nice ... Funny, very funny!
Thanks for the update, Andi!

This is really cool. What would be really neat if there was a website that used pictures like this for "find a klicky". Heather's site has something like that, but it's really hard because the are so many variations in colors of pants, etc.
So you'd start with the heads, then have hair, then have arms, then legs, then ?
-
thanks andi. i was thinking this would make a great poster. hmmm.

Sounds useful to me, want to take on the project?
Seriously, though, it could be done by anyone with HTML skills: make an image map of Andi's image, with each head linking to the appropriate search result of "Who's That Klicky?". Those search results are bookmarkable, which means you can link to them directly from anywhere. I don't have every different face print documented, but I do have face colours done for all except faces obscured by helmets, or klickies with black-and-white pictures; and a lot of the common face prints are done, as well as children's hair.
I'd want to do it with programming, which means keeping track separately of the row-and-column of the head, its coordinates within the larger image to set up the image map, and the URL of the search result. If anyone wants to make a list like this - even just take one row each! - I'll draw up the program to use it. Could be extended to other body parts too, given the photos. Any takers?
-
After seeing this chart, I'm inquiring to see if anyone has several of the heads in row three from the top, ninth position from the left, the far right head in the double picture that has the dark grey mustache centered correctly? I've never noticed this particular one before, & it would make my avatars used in photo stories more anatomically correct if anyone would like to trade some of just the heads for a bunch of items I have to trade!

I'm not sure exactly what your requesting? Are you wanting some one to go though the klickies and add a new attribute?
-

Sorry for not being more clear. It seems the only thing missing from Andi's head collection is: how to find the identity of a klicky from its head! Since I've already got all* the klickies listed, the challenge is to match up Andi's heads with a page from Who's That Klicky which will show all the klickies with that head. Like this:
Row 1, Column 4: http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/whoami.pl?age=a;face_colour=light+skintone;face_printing=rosy+cheeks (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/whoami.pl?age=a;face_colour=light+skintone;face_printing=rosy+cheeks)
Then I can put together a reference page where you click on the head and it takes you to the proper Who's That Klicky page. (Never mind the image map, Andi's offered me the individual pictures, to make it easier.)
Now, not all, or maybe not even half of these heads will be able to be linked right away, but even half of them is a start. However, the whole thing is a lot of work for one person: will you take one row - maybe a children's row, to start - and do that much? If you can't find a description for a head, just mark it "not found" and leave it. And perhaps someone else interested can do another row. Et cetera. Make more sense?
I've just added a permalink section to the bottom of the Who's That Klicky results page, so you don't have to deal with the super-long URL that appears in your address bar; just use the one at the bottom instead.
* or pretty darn close
-
I'd be willing to help in this endevour.
-
Heather,
If I understand correctly then, we would do a search based on a head's attributes then link the resulting search results to that head in the matrix? If I am understanding this correctly then I too would like to help.
