Title: Tadatsugu's samurai
Post by: cheng on February 11, 2011, 10:09:46
Sakai Tadatsugu (1527 – 1596) was one of the most favored commanders serving Tokugawa Ieyasu
but I couldn't find out why he chose to use a skull for his Sashimono  :P

while waiting for a big pirate ship flag to make a Nobori(large hand-held banner),
I made a Sashimono(small flag worn behind back) for Sakai Tadatsugu's samurai...hope you like it too  :)

That looks GREAT! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/clapping.gif)
Why can't Geobra release some samurais? I would be all over the theme.

Great custom, Cheng!!

You must have quite a collection of customs by now. An entire jappanese army, perhaps?

thanks everyone

as for the new samurai special, I'll have to buy 1 to study it but I'm sure if Geobra is planning a theme launch, they'll be working on better legs (at least)  :)

Excellent custom, cheng, each better than the previous.
as I make more and more, I research more and also get better ideas, so its also a learning path for me  ;)
..so much more to do..
...making a red-lacquered iron face mask at the moment..
then, Yamagata Masakage (who fought for the Takeda at Nagashino, dressed in red and also dressed all his army, including his uniformed foot soldiers, in red-lacquered armour)
and some of his 'red' soldiers.
