ali baba: everything was complete and in good condition except the silver ranch which had some missing parts. i made these additions in the last 6 weeks

Awesome, Skywalker!!! Chris and I are really starting to get in to western stuff again, and Chris wants Fort Glory. Though I would rather Fort Bravo, as that's the one I dreamed of having as a kid. They had one set up in the local toystore where you could play with it. Oh well, we can always get both! ;D And that panning for gold set, I remember wanting that SO bad when I was a kid. My brother and I begged for it quite a few times! It's an AWESOME set. Congratulations!
Right now we have all our western stuff set up in the bedroom. May have to post pics, though there's not too much to see...

bonniebeth: the western stuff is sooooooooooo cool. i was so inspired when i saw some dioramas from old catalogues / packshots ( i posted 3 of those in this thread ) i have to built something very close to that...i think i went for fort glory because i like the end 80s / beginning 90s western stuff the most.

Wow you scored some great classic western sets there. Just about every one is so nice in itself but all together you ended up with a awesome collection :inlove: I have been trying for years to get the train depot at a reasonable price and my patience is wearing thin. I think MacGuyver created a shortage when he went shopping on its release date.
I never noticed set 3816 before and it will have to be one more to look out for. I liked the pictures they used to create back then. The guy is sitting on dynamite stuffing many guns in his sleeping bag ? ?
The Mining set shows how accessory heavy these older sets were if you compare it to the new western carry-on set. These guys mostly have jackets, hats w/bands and feathers and they all have bits lying around.
come on playmobil, give us more junk in the sets :prays: new accessories

rasputin: actually i bought 2 train depots because the seller had 2 for a very cheap price - each 39,00€....i had to get 3 parts that were missing and that was it. the 3816 is extremly cool ;) the characters and accessory in the mining set are hillarious...drinking whiskey and waiting for the poor guys to get the gold out of the mine...just to steal it right away....so cool
