Each Christmas I have Christmas lights on my house and a Playmobil train in the front garden. This goes round about every seven minutes or when a button is pressed on the wall between 09.30 and 22.45.
This year over night on Thursday the 16th of December we had nine inches of snow fell. As I could not see the train I turned the supply to it off. The following night Friday two more inches fell, so the train was covered with eleven inches of snow. As I did not know where it was on the track I decided to leave it.
It was Boxing Day December 26th before I could dig it out. After digging it out I tried the motor and it worked first time. I then left the whole train in my workshop till the next day and put it back on the track and it worked O.K. It shows how good the old Playmobil trains are.
Below are two photographs taken from the same spot.

Wow, that looks great. If this happens very often you may need to invest in a snow plow.

on a similar note, a friend once told me that the only thing on Earth that would survive a nuclear bomb would be LGB rails
