Hello
I had always known of Playmobil but it was not a toy I played with as a child. (too hard to find in NA back in the day).
However my son and I purchased some soccer figures during the summer and this Christmas we bought some stocking stuffers at the local TRU.  My son loved the toy and we bought a few more.  I couldn't get over how well made and detailed the toy were.  After purchasing a few knights items I decided to find as many older ones as possible to collect. (with the odd hockey/curling figure to look for too).

Your story is interesting as it shows that people get into collecting from many different parts of the range. You liked the soccer figures, and that has led to more purchases. Some people get a dolls' house, or some knights, or a Fire Engine, and then expand their interests further.

This shows that Playmobil should be trying to keep their product in the public eye in ALL toyshops and department stores, as that first sale is all important.
