HI
You are a very talented diorama builder. It looks more like a piece of art than a child's toy . Now I have to go look at how you built it and see your secrets.
Thanks for sharing

  I'm absolutely speechless! It couldn't look better. Wish I could come over and play and buy you that beer :**:

It's just awesome, skywalker. I want one! Are you looking to adopt another kid? ;D

-
Beautiful custom setup, Skywalker :wow:! As already mentioned it looks so real, as a toy it's hard to believe the level of detail you have achieved! Spectacular !
-
Thank you all very much !!!!!
bonniebeth: yeah why not
in the meanwhile i took the roof of my house so the diorama looks a bit more realistic ;D

Are you sure it's photo shop? ??? I thought he really took the roof off of his house :o,......the realism now days is killing me :hmm:!
-
I think it his house indeed!!! All the walls are white, and with the proper lighting you can do wonders!!! ;D
-
That's a beautiful job on the scenery work, and a great castle design.
And how convenient to have their own railway siding for deliveries :P
-
OMG..Wow! I so need to know how you built your mountain. It looks so stunning. I want to come and play!
-
Superb :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:
I love the rocks and greenery, it looks so realistic. :wow: :wow: :wow:

This is fantastic, thank you for sharing your beautiful work. Your son is very lucky -- the landscape and especially the tunnels look like they'll add a lot to the already considerable play value, once he's old enough to play with it.
-
Thank you all very much :hatoff:
i will post some more pics in the photography section were i will add some photoshop work to the castle. here is a first look

-
hartelik bedankt Gis !
-
Wow! Great work!

Just a random question, if my black knights army was sieging your castle what would prevent us from simply climbing up the mountain behind your castle and having longbowmen and crossbowmen shoot continuous volleys of arrows and bombard with fire from above? ;D
-
I was wondering that too.
-
Ver gUDE!!!!!
It reminds me of the kingdom of Gandor from Lord of the Rings because it is also built into the side of a mountain like that! Ich liebe!
My one question: where does the jaw bridge open up to? Is there going to be a mote? Or a corresponding hillside?
-
BlackKnight: on the side of the hill most knights who tried that were smashed by this gigantic iron monster on rails that attacks every 2 minutes :0
on the other side of the hill is the undiscovered "dragonland" nobody ever came back who went there. rumors say there lives a 8 month old giant dragon who eats , smashes , destroyes everything that comes in his hands.
BlackPearl: good question. i really came in trouble when i build the first underconstruction of the castle and the bridge endet so high i would have need 3 extra meters just to get a way back to the floor. there will be another small "bridge-to the floor-diorama" . i have some ideas for that but not 100% sure. my first impuls was to get another castle...but no...that would be too much

If I may,
I am not sure this is exactly what you are talking about,
But, if you built a little moat that connected to the other rock,
just wide enough for the drawbridge to span,
Then would that fix it? ???
Of course I am completely against the idea of not getting another castle... ;)
It is never too much. ;D
-
Warrior: in the beginning i thought this area is clear - a moat. but i did get some books from the library about castles and the good ones had another "small" castle around the start of the bridge. i really liked that. so i thought about a way up with 2 towers and maybe one building....hmmmm i am still thinking how i solve this. but it´s clear it has to be a diorama of it´s own ;D

The train? Haha ok so then realism is clearly not an issue. No problem! Just was wondering. Love how you did the landscape, there is definitely realism there!!

Beautiful castle and scenery! :wow:
