**Disclaimer: Posing the klickies is sometimes very hard and then getting the right angle with the camera even harder. So although things may seem to be different on the picture, the text is conclusive on what was happened.
The crowd starts roaring again as the next combatants enter the field. Maybe not so much for Sir Jerry of Ithaca Kingdom, but Sir Cygnet son of the famous Sir Alarch is a crowd favorite.

Sir Jerry: 1 point
Sir Cygnet: 1 point
(http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a415/gorraxpb/Winterhaven%20Jousting%20Tournament/Group%20E/E15.jpg)
This pass is an exact copy of the last one.

In this match in group E we see Sir Agnar face off against the fearsome "Red Eye" the Metal Dragon Warrior.

Red Eye: 1 point
(http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a415/gorraxpb/Winterhaven%20Jousting%20Tournament/Group%20E/E23.jpg)
On the second pass Red Eye misses completely as he is taken clean of his horse by a skillful maneuver from Sir Agnar.
Sir Agnar: 4 points, 1 honour (+3 PD)
Red Eye: 1 point (-3 PD)
-
:hmm: I think, I should change the horse! Anyone who likes horse meat? 0) :giggle:
Congrats Sir Agnar! :hatoff:

With the sheer amount of pictures I had to take I didnt want to also start fidgeting in the crowd. I would've liked to but as I am mostly flying solo on this it's not really within the time scale (I think I will go over 300 pictures). I was constantly thinking about it but it seems I am always under the clock to get things done. Unfortunately that means some details will have to be left out. Sorry.

Good catch Arnaud :-)

No problem Gis! Your project is totally awe inspiring! I along with so many others are really enjoying it! BTW, are there any beer venders in the stands, I'm kinda thirsty from cheering so much :P! (again,...just kidding!)

I'm amazed that you have been able to do what you have done all ready! :o
It really is soo great, and I'm glad that Sir Cygnet isn't doing too bad :)
Damo :)

Hey Bill! My squire Enguerrand (hungover from yesterday's celebrations) tells me the wine is good...

Beautiful contest, but it really sad that the people of WinterHeaven do not find famous the champion from the kingdom of "Legendary" ,all over the world, Odysseus and they know the goose knight.It seems that they prefer starbucks than history!!! 8} 8} 8}
Great pictures bytheway Gis!
Congratulations flacat!!
I can believe how a "shinning wreck" like Sir Agnar have managed to have serious hits!!!!!
My sympathy Red Eye!!
I want to be there GIs and shouting for the challenging Knights!!!
-
Congratulations, Giorginetto on an unhorsing!
Well done, Damo.

We now turn to a much anticipated match between two rivals that have already exchanged a lot of words before this tournament got underway. On the one hand we have Sir Jerry of Ithaca Kingdom and his opponent will be Sir Agnar.
Testing the waters during the first pass both players are able to get a shield hit.
Sir Jerry: 1 point
Sir Agnar: 1 point
(http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a415/gorraxpb/Winterhaven%20Jousting%20Tournament/Group%20E/E33.jpg)
Sir Jerry is able to get a hit on the shield but is lifted out of the saddle by a hard hit on his shoulder settling this round of the dispute a lot quicker than was anticipated.
Sir Jerry: 2 points (-2 PD)
Sir Agnar: 4 points, +1 honour (+2 PD)
-
The following match features the beloved Sir Cygnet and a fighter who has kept some mothers up at night already because their children had nightmares, “Red Eye” the Metal Dragon Warrior.
Much to the dismay of the spectators this match is over after the first pass. Sir Cygnet ending on the floor after a skillfully placed lance hits him in his abdomen.
Sir Cygnet: 0 points (-3 PD)
Red Eye: 3 points, +1 honour (+3 PD)
-
After the second day we have the following standing in Group E:
1) Sir Agnar, 2 wins, +2 honour, +5 PD
2) Red Eye, 1 win, +1 honour, 0 PD
3) Sir Cygnet, 1 win, 0 honour, -2 PD
4) Sir Jerry, 0 wins, 0 honour, -3 PD
In this group everything is still possible. Although with 2 honour, Sir Agnar is a definite favorite to make it into the next stage of the competition.
-
Well done, Giorginetto and hard luck Damo.
You produce excellent commentaries to go with the photos, Gis. This is a greatly entertaining project.
-
Oh Giorginetto and Angelo jousting each other!!! ... these two were always anxious to meet on the battlefied... ;D
-
Now the Dragon is hot!
* sending a pain-relieving gift basket to Sir Cygnet * ;)
-
Oh Giorginetto and Angelo jousting each other!!! ... these two were always anxious to meet on the battlefied... ;D
True. Methinks this could have consequences later on,
Let us hope the peace of PlaymoFriends lasts between such conflict.
-
That is outraging!! I shall order my champion to fight with his eyes closed.
The shinning wreck called sir Agnar two straight hits on the row!!
Giorginetto must have given a lot of money at this tournament, may be we must give him the price now!!!!
Great pictures Gis !! i love your tournament!! keep the good work!!!!!!
Giorginetto it easy to buy tournaments but you can not buy battlefields.!!!!
Does anyone knows where is George??

Does anyone knows where is George??

-
Thanks Panos.I'm relax now!! I can not think myself in this forum without George!!
Aww, your a pair...
;)
-
You know what I'd love  to see...
A tavern brawl between some of the jousting rivals. Some mead, some ale, some heated words, and some flashing steel...
Winterhaven must have had to triple the guard during the tourny. ;D
-
In this match we will see Sir Jerry take on the scary Red Eye. No matter the outcome of this match they are depending what happens in the following match to know who will advance.
As the lances and shield clash together, Sir Jerry scores a shield hit, while Red Eye, seemingly without looking scores a hit in Sir Jerry’s head.
Sir Jerry: 1 point
Red Eye: 2 points, -1 honour
(http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a415/gorraxpb/Winterhaven%20Jousting%20Tournament/Group%20E/E53.jpg)
Slightly dizzy from the hit to the head Sir Jerry is unable to get his wits together enough to hit anything. Meanwhile Red Eye casually wins the match by making his shield hit look easy.
Sir Jerry: 1 point (-2 PD)
Red Eye: 3 points, -1 honour (+2 PD)
-
In the deciding match in this group, Sir Cygnet will cross lances with Sir Agnar.
On the first run Sir Cygnet aim is too high but he catches the brim of Sir Agnar’s helmet! Meanwhile Sir Agnar is able to hit Sir Cygnet’s shield so this run wasn’t in vain.
Sir Cygnet: 2 points, -1 honour
Sir Agnar: 1 point
(http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a415/gorraxpb/Winterhaven%20Jousting%20Tournament/Group%20E/E63.jpg)
On the following run, the action is fast and furious (and a bit blurry). The end result is a shield hit for Sir Cygnet who doesn’t have his defense in order so he gets hit in the chest by Sir Agnar.
Sir Cygnet: 3 points, -1 honour
Sir Agnar: 3 points
(http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a415/gorraxpb/Winterhaven%20Jousting%20Tournament/Group%20E/E64.jpg)
Unfortunately this match ends less exciting then it began. Sir Agnar has a good defense in place making Sir Cygnet miss, while he gets a simple shield hit in to take the match.
Sir Cygnet: 3 points, -1 honour (-1 PD)
Sir Agnar: 4 points (+1 PD)
-
The final result for Group E:
*1) Sir Agnar: 3 wins, +2 honour, +6 PD
*2) Red Eye: 2 wins, 0 honour, +2 PD
3) Sir Cygnet: 1 win, -1 honour, -3 PD
4) Sir Jerry: 0 wins, 0 honour, -5 PD
*Continues to the Single Elimination Matches
-
Why to go Sir Agnar!!! Giorginetto will be bouncing on his chair!!!
-
Sorry to see you go, Damo; congratulations on going through to the next round, Giorginetto.
-
 Red Eye is coming!
Who's the next? :knight:
-
This is outraging!!!!!!!!!!!
I shall personally execute Sir jerry in the main square of WinterHeaven after the occupation of the town from my Glorious Golden Dragon Army!! ha ha ha!!
Of course first i shall wait to see the outcome of the tournament!!!
Great work GIS!!! Damo and Panos I would be waiting you in Starbucks to see together the rest of Championship from there!!!
Do not be late i had an army to prepare!!
-
Save an armchair for me at Starbuck's! We may have to discuss warfare. I love your plan of taking over the tower, we have much in common. REVENGE!
-
Starbuck's.... a curious name for an inn... sounds great for battle plannig though... even when its designed on armchairs
-
You do realize that occupying your host after a joust is a good way to get yourself blacklisted and un-invited to future PF Jousting League events, don't you? I would hate to see you throw away a promising future in a fit of pettiness.

You have a good and strong point! I'll urge my allies to reconsider.
Angelo, Arnaud, dont forget that Sir Baldthar is a Champion of Justice (ok so he failed the tournament, so what? he is magnificent and I have not told of all his exploits yet... ;) ) He not keen on laying siege on the good people of a welcoming city...but he can join you for a beer... so lets go to a good inn and not at Starbucks!!!
-
Tier, i think you have misunderstood us! Sir Wolf and I, we are forces of peace and balance for our world. But Gis and WOT have stated before that they will fight along with Giorginetto and we are fighting against him.He is trying to break the balance of force in the world.
Sir Panos i shall never do something that it will hurt your and my reputation. :o
BY the way sir Arnaud you help is welcome to our group. ;D
Sir tier sorry i have not checked your progress but if you are like us your also welcome to Starbucks Inn to join us!!! :)
-
What Angelo says is correct! It was Giorginetto who initiated hostilities!!! We'll be here to keep and preserve the peace and good fortune of the people!
-
:hmm: What a pitty. To the ohter's!
I'd like to meet Sir Agnar a second time. >:D The only way is, to get in the final round. 0) Sorry, Guy's! That's what will be! :lmao:
-
The people of Winterhaven have not allied with anyone! Any allegience I (personally) have pledged would have been on behalf of the Kingdom of Belarthe. Who are related to the Kingdom of Winterhaven (the Queens of the countries are sisters) but Winterhaven has not officially taken a position in a conflict.

My fellow knights, Sir Agnar went down this morning! How strange...
I met this most interesting man yesterday:

He offers exclusive services for reasonable fees, I thought he could be useful to our, uhm, cause...

Outstanding. This tournament is the most exciting thing in this forum i have come across so far and a great big congragulations and thanks to Sir Gis for making all this happen . Thanks also for grangel for let me know this tournament has started , I so embarrased but somehow i missed it till now :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[.... Anyways , this so so sooooooooooo great !!!!!!!!!!!!! |Awesome pictures and the entire set up and tournament is truly awesome!!! Gis , this is great, you are a credit to the playmobil community and I bow at your work with admiration, humility and respect . Congragulations.
As for the tournament, King Giorginetto arrived late due to some last minute preparations for his new castle and city , apologies but when you see the pictures of whats coming you will excuse him fellow kings and champions. He has been very busy with engineers and architects telling them the last details for his new castle and city ....
' King Giorginetto just handed a large chest full of gold coins to Sir Agnar and more land that was recently conquered from King Grangel in another recent battle between the Kingdoms. King Giorginetto is very pleased that Sir Agnar's had demonstated a noble and fair game play backed with his vast jousting and battlefield experience plus the help of Sir Agnar's Stallion proved a success and won his victories so far . He couldnt be happier with the defeat of King Grangelo's Champion as they are arch enemies and at war. I quote ' not only victories in the battlefield but also on the tournament Sir Agnar, you are a true Champion on the battlefield and on the jousting grounds , and today after your recent victorious lead in our latest conquer of King Grangels' land and your victory over their Champion ( more important for King Giorginetto than winning the tournament itslelf for obvious reasons ) I , King Giorginetto declare that in the upcoming greatest city of our times, a square shall be build, a Square bearing Sir Agnar's name, a square that will have a statue of Hero Champion Sir Agnar and his Stallion , a statue that will stand tall and remind all that our kingdom is the greatest of all. Hail for Sir Agnar ! '
May this magnificent tournament continue.

There is not greater honour for me!! Sir Agnar thinks that he have accoplish his cause by winning my champion sir Jerry.
George i will promise you that i shall leave your status unharmed when i shall conquer your land.
When you respect your opponent the victory is more important!!

I think a paid assasin of some short who was after Sir Agnar . King Giorginettos guard heard about it , cought him , cut him into pieces and fed him to the pigs Sir Grangelo so the tournament continued normally .

Fools, workings with assassins are not the dealings of Kings!
Be you still the young barons you once were!
Kings right wrongs openly, and with their own hands,
not with naves and peasants striking from shadows, unfair opponents to those more worthy.
Be it that you are both cowards?
I thinkest not, but my ears may deceive me?!?!
Draw thy swords and duel if you wish to better the other,
enough of these dark dealings.
-
As I said before, if someone has been tampering with equipment and people, Sir Baldthar, Champion of Justice, will investigate and punish...

if i did not know know you before those insults will be your final words and my vikings will erase every evidence of your kingdom.BUT even after your insults i shall give another chance to open your eyes and see who are your allies.
As for History my friend the only specie that survive through the years are the assassins!Kings have forced to extinction years ago. So respect the assassins because they usually commanded from strong men and they can spare alot of lives from the menace of insane leaders. As everything in this world they have used also for wrong causes.
I HOPE TO SEE YOU IN THE SIDE OF GOOD!!
AS YOU HAVE UNDERSTOOD I HAVE FAITH AND RESPECT TO YOU WoT,IT WILL BE PITY TO SEE YOU FALLING IN THE BATTLEFIELD FOR A LOST CAUSE AND FOR MY HANDS!!

That may be, but men should settle their arguments with battles,
not tiptoeing. ;)
As for whom my allies are, that may very well be decided upon arriving at the battlefield as of now.

King Grangel
Your over confidence exceeds any measure . And you snake tonque is pushing away a good ally making him dillusioned. Typical yellow dragons tactics , divide and conquer and sent assasins. Your Kingdom deserves to be completely annihilated and I shall throw all my resources to do this with or without allies.
Be very careful WoT, I fear your tactics will alienate you from the so far trustworthy allies and you might fall victim of your decisions Sir......
Yellow Dragons your methods are not noble nor within the rules of engagement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For that reason, when our armies meet on the battlefield I shall crash your little army and take no prisoners!!! Sending assasins and breaking alliances ..... :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:.. Expect a 1500 strong army to fall upon you with 36 catapults to give a bit of shade before our attack

So shall it be? :hmm:
Methinks this is the best position to take for now.
Alas, as many have pointed out,
Rutileo is not the biggest contender.
Therefor, I wish not to be persecuted for others conflicts,
as it is, the middle ground is also well populated.
Fear not Giorginetto,
though talks of alliance are halted we still lean towards fighting by your side.
We would not like to cancel trade routes with you completely by going against you,
But the other side makes good claims. :eh?:
-
Oh..Snap!!
Maybe their should be a permanent council of nations for airing greivances, ala the United Nations. Everyone knows how good they are at stopping wars from happening.
Oh wait.... :-\

King Darnald calls to him the bickering kings.
Good Sirs. The invitations for this tournament were send under the banner of peace. I understand that there is tension between you but you are souring the atmohphere of the tournament.
I would like to ask you all to stop your threats and what not about war and enjoy the tournament. I am to believe that the ruler of Salish is also considering a tournament, would you like to not be welcome there?
In regards tampering with equipment, I feel slighted. That side of the tournament might not have been on YOUR minds other then thinking of it negatively. But all equipment has been guarded by four man of the City Guard at ALL times. All squires were allowed to be with their knights equipment only. I have taken every measurement to ensure a gair tournament and you all knights have had the opportunity to check their horses throuroughly before their joust.
When I hear rumours about assissance I am not a happy man and I feel personally attacked. So if you do enjoy this tournament I would ask you to please cease all activities in regards to challenging each other or talking about tampered equipment.
Thank you very much!

Sending assasins and breaking alliances ..... :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:.. Expect a 1500 strong army to fall upon you with 36 catapults to give a bit of shade before our attack

..and King Giorginetto points out to King Darnald that there will be no hostilities during the tournament just as in Ancient Greece when during Olympics even countries at war would stop hostilities and compete fairly on the playning grounds... but when this tournament completes and what a great tournament this has been, hostilities will resume
... and King Giorginetto reminds all that hostilities started when his champion was winning at the start and apparently assasins have been despatched to kill him during the tournament.....
.. thank god the Tournament's security was very good and our Champion is still alive !!!
Hostilities talk will cease here ( and continue in another thread)

As you will host. I wish not to offend you,
as you and your tournament have been most gracious to us. *bows*
