Hannibal,
That is an amazing display.

Surely, you couldnt have put it up alone.
How many friends, and how long did it take to create the display?
How do you plan such a display?

You also have foot stands for all the people who are standing.
HOW did you get so many?
It seems as if you have at least 1000 people in that display.

Do you cry when you have to break it down?
Putting it away for transport (or storage) seems like a crime.

in awe,
Meg

Hello Meg :),

we build with 7 people, more than 10 hours for this 33m² diorama. I need 6 month for the preparation and there was a total population of 857 people. During the last 11 years I collected a lot of this foot stands and I have more than 2000 from it.

Oh yes, I was very sadly after the 2 days from Wolfsburg. I do not have the place to build this diorama at home so I have it in 30 big boxes and that is not so fine. That is the on of the reasons why I build it on the event from Wolfsburg to show it the visitors and for me .

Perhaps I can build it in the next time in a museum and there it stands for a longer time (6 mounth or 1 year).
I hope so.

Thank you
Hannibal ;)

Its just amazing
and it does deserve to be on display for longer than 2 days.

I may ask for some foot stands, now that I know you have so many ;)

What's the German for wunderbar!

Is there a set street plan or is it different every time it goes up?

I would love to own your collection!  You set it up so nicely.  I love the forest scenes.

That is an amazing setup.  How sad that you can only set it up infrequently.  Maybe the FunPark should find you space for a six month display.

Wowowowowowowowow! That is an amazing display. Thanks for including so many pictures, because without actually seeing it I am not sure I would have believed it.

It was worth all your hard work - it is incredbile. And of course I agree with everyone who says it deserves to be displayed for longer than two days.

A truly jaw-droppingly beautiful diorama, Hannibal! :omg:  ;)

Thank you so much for sharing the pics with us. It's the next best thing to being there and seeing it in person.  8-) :)

What's the German for wunderbar!

Funny... wunderbar was exactly the word that came to mind as I was looking at the photos too. ;D
