I, Wolfram Stormbringer, Stealer of Souls and Keeper of the Tower of Flint, will follow all the laws of chivalry in this tourney and will deem it an honour if I am defeated by any of my noble rivals.

Hear, hear, many of those who are with hot blood,
but stronger are they with cool veins.
I look forward to meeting you in the tourney, noble foe. :hatoff:

**Disclaimer: Posing the klickies is sometimes very hard and then getting the right angle with the camera even harder. So although things may seem to be different on the picture, the text is conclusive on what was happened.

In Group B we start with a match between Sir Wolfram and Sir Bartholomew Hale.

Sir Wolfram hits Sir Bartholomew on the shield but is not able to deflect his opponents lance enough and gets hit on his chest.

Sir Wolfram: 1 Point
Sir Bartholomew: 2 Points

On the second run Sir Bartholomew goes for safely hitting his opponents shield and that’s exactly what happens. He takes a hit on his own shield as well but it is enough for the win.

Sir Wolfram: 2 points (-1 PD)
Sir Bartholomew:  3 points (+1 PD)

“The second match in Group B features someone very special” the Royal Herald announces “Sir Beltam Lehon will take to the field against the representative of someone some of us know in Winterhaven very well. He has moved up in the world and is now a King himself. So all please: Hail Lord Etir, son of the late defender Etiar, champion of Rutileom defender of the Kings lands. His Grace, Aun Kerac, has brought forth his willing subject to fight for him. With honor grace and the chivalry of all great knights, Lord Etir Sayest has pledged himself to fight for his king and country, and will do them justice in his greatest and most high form. So comes the champion of Rutileo!”

“Vivat!”

Sir Beltam manages to hit Lord Etir shield, his lack of skill leave him however right open and he gets hit full in the chest.

Sir Beltam: 1 point
Lord Etir: 2 points

On the second run Sir Beltam is more focused and hits Lord Etir shield again but manages to flick his own out of the way at the last second making Lord Etir hit nothing but air.

Sir Beltam: 2 points
Lord Etir: 2 points

On the last run Lord Etir’s experience wins him the match as he pulls the exact same trick on his opponent, hitting his shield and getting his own out of the way at the last moment.

Sir Beltam: 2 points (-1 PD)
Lord Etir: 3 points (+1 PD)

The third match in Group B will feature Sir Wolfram and Sir Beltam Lehon of Belathre.

On the first pass only the shields are hit.

Sir Wolfram: 1 point
Sir Beltam: 1 point

On second pass Sir Wolfram faints with his lance which leads Sir Beltam to flick his shield. This leaves a wide gap for Sir Wolfram hitting Sir Beltam full force and taking him straight of his saddle. Sir Beltam’s still trying to hit back only manages to hit Sir Wolfram’s horse.

Sir Wolfram: 4 points, +1 honour (+3 PD)
Sir Beltam: 1 point, -1 honour (-3 PD)

The next match features Sir Bartholomew Hale and Lord Etir Sayest, both having won their first match, the winner of this won will be in a good position to make it to the next round.

As we’ve seen a couple of times already during this tournament. The first round is merely a testing round. Both make some minor faints but in the end both get a shield hit.

Sir Bartholomew: 1 point
Lord Etir: 1 point

On the second run Lord Etir pulls his shield which he has been representing high out of the way just in time while he times his attack perfectly, hitting Sir Bartholomew behind his shield and in his side.

Sir Bartholomew: 1 point (-2 PD)
Lord Etir: 3 points (+2 PD)

After the second day we have the following standing in Group B:

1) Lord Etir: 2 wins, 0 honour, +3 PD
2) Sir Wolfram: 1 win, +1 honour, +2 PD
3) Sir Bartolomew: 1 win, 0 honour, -1 PD
4) Sir Beltam: 0 wins, -1 honour, -4 PD

In this group everything is still possible. Sir Beltam could still make it, if he wins and his tiebreakers are good enough. We’ll just have to wait and see.

In the following match Lord Etir can ensure qualification with a win. With a loss there is still a chance he might be knocked out. Sir Wolfram has to win to have a shot at going on.

Lord Etir starts the match slowly with a shield hit. Sir Wolfram has different plans though and aims a bit high and hits Lord Etir full on the shoulder. The impact of the hit twists Lord Etir out of the saddle.

Sir Wolfram: 3 points, +1 honour (+2 PD)
Lord Etir: 1 point (-2 PD)

In this contest we see Sir Bartholomew Hale fights it out with Sir Beltam. Because of the result of the last match Sir Beltam knows he is already eliminated.

Clearly not very focused (just like the picture *grin*) Sir Beltam has his shield out wide and his lance at just the wrong angle. He gets hit full in the chest and misses his mark.

Sir Bartholomew: 2 points
Sir Beltam: 0 points

As they gallop at each other again Sir Beltam is still shaking of the pain. He manages to get his focus just in time though and goes for a slightly high shoulder hit. Sir Bartholomew tries to hit the shield out of the way with his lance, deflecting it straight into his face. Sir Bartholomew is however able to keep his balance and gets another hit on Sir Beltams chest.

Sir Bartholomew: 4 points (+2 PD)
Sir Beltam: 2 points (-2 PD)

*2) Lord Etir: 2 wins, 0 honour, +1 PD
2) Sir Bartholomew: 2 wins, 0 honour, +1 PD

Thanks for the update, Gis, and I never thought I would qualify, let alone first in the group.  All down to luck, methinks.

Congratulations Sir Wolfram and Lord Etir.
I believe that Sir Wolfram will be meeting Sir Fergus McAngus in the next round, May the best man win, but I hope Sir Wolfram remembers that his horse's fine caparison came from Sir Fergus' home country!  ;D

PHEW! :o That was close!
I was gasping for breath as I read what happened. :(
Luckily Lord Etir will still move on.

***

I sit back in my chair,
the feelings of uneasiness that had crept into my stomach faded
as I realized Etir would still make it to the next round.
Faded, but didn't go away completely.

One final match will decide it all,
everything is up in the air,
and Etir is not as invincible as he seemed earlier.

"Still," I think as I relax more,
"He has done well to come even this far.
He shall be rewarded, victory or not."

Thanks for hosting this Tournament Gis!
It is bigger and better then I ever thought it was going to be! :omg: ;D
