I'm not sure these are really scary ghosts. They both have smiles on their faces!
This is an add-on and comes in a plastic bag so there is no box to show.
I opened the bag and was delighted to find that the little ghost has green hair. (The photo in the catalog only shows them dressed in their shrouds.) The big guy has beautiful blue eyes (and blue lips.)

The big ghost has the usual round topped shroud but the little ghost has a very cute pointed top shroud. Both shrouds glow in the dark when exposed to BRIGHT light. I wasn't able to get them to glow enough for my camera to capture that.

The ball and chain are both plastic and the ball has a hole in it. Does anybody have any idea why? It's not big enough for a klicky to put their hand in it. They also come with a lantern. (It doesn't light up or glow in the dark.)

The Not-Scary ghosts are really very friendly and cuter than the ghost pirates.

Thank for these lovely pictures and review Rona! Love the little ghost with the green hair!! I'd certainly buy a few of these sets to expand my ghost klickies!!!

The little one is so cute :-) Thanks a lot for sharing MamaDragon!

Thanks for the great review and pics!
I really like the little ghost, especially his printed features.

That's unusual. It's almost as though they've done it for safety reasons, in case it gets swallowed by a small child.

Ah yes, like the Biro top. That may well be the case, Sylvia.

Thanks for the review, Rona. Not my line, but an interesting little set. I wonder who will first put on a Playmobil production of Hamlet using the large ghost?
-
Thanks RONA....I love the kid.....though there must be a sad and tragic story behind him :-\
-
Thank you for the review, Rona! It's nice to be able to see them without their shrouds. The green hair is great!

HI
Thanks for the review. I had planned on getting this pair and now that I see the dead kid has those nice prints I will have to increase my order amount.
What is odd is in your picture you can clearly see he has the green hair but in playmobil's one you can not make it out at all. I guess this is one time I am pleased with the misrepresentation as a clearer sheet is much better

Thanks for the review Rona, I had been thinking they were just reissues of older ones, but these are new. I will have to get them then :)

ohhh really cute! i want some :)
does the small klicky have asian eyes? :)

If the hole in the ball doesn't go right through, I think the most likely explanation is that it's necessary for the moulding process. If the ball was solid, the inside would cool slower than the outside and the ball would end up mis-shapen or cracked.
I nearly added this set to a recent order, but not knowing about the boy's green hair I didn't bother. Take note Plasymobil, showing clearer pictures of your products would sell more products. Just saying.

Hi
Good theory on the ball, I thought it might have to due with saving Mr B even more money, a penny saved is a penny earned ;)
I would just say the same thing as I was only going to get one set but now that I saw his true colors I will order quite a few more.

I figured using plastic, in the first place, was merely about saving money.
I like the old one I have with a metal ball and chain.
Surely the savings can't be that much and Playmobil in that dire of straits that they need to replace it with plastic ...

Hi, apologies for missing your post :wow:
I too prefer the one with the metal ball, I was actually quite disappointed to find the plastic anchor in the 4444 when it came out . I do love using the metal ball as a way for our Mafia Klickies to solve problems near a lake ;)
One other theory is there is a new regulation which does not allow for the metal ball and chain in this age bracket but this theory might instigate comments about USA and its intellect
I guess if it is about saving money Playmobil will start keeping the extra plastic on spruces (I think thats what they are called) Oil is becoming quite expensive again

Apologies for the koala picture, I just did paste for my name and smiley but must have pasted the picture instead! :-[ It looks very out of place  - I've only just seen it and it's too late to change it, unless a moderator can remove it for me!
Elaine (http://www.anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/mgqueen.gif) (got it right this time! )

 I wondered why you posted the koala picture! I can't edit it, though. Panos has to do it.

Hi
I think this conversation was going at the exact same time as the one with the rainbow Koalas in the other tread. Must have got your wires crossed ;)
I wonder why Playmobil is being so deceptive in their box pictures. The ghosts, the wedding couple, the not so chrome knight etc... Some I would buy less of them due to the issue but in this case I am planning to buy more now that I truly know what they look like ?
