Thank you everyone for your positive support of this mayhem & madness! :evilplan: The brown boxes in the first pictures stacked to the ceiling are all full of my firefighting theme vehicles shown in previous photo stories. The larger boxes across from the shelves contain the empty boxes for those vehicles & all of the duplicate unopened PCFD District 2 vehicles & equipment. At this time I am planning to have 10 actual stations of vehicles to replicate a very large fire department! The stacked smaller boxes to the left are filled with various 3526 & 3525 vehicle parts from my refurbish & custom projects! I used to have many more older sets like the original Eskimo Artic series with 6 igloos & the rest of the sets that I greatly miss! They were the bomb! I used to have the orange refuse container truck MIB but was required to sell it during a rough patch in my life. I remember it was a great prize to behold ! All of the large medium, & small brown boxes house some type of PM items, so room is at a premium. To get another shed would cause my wife to,...well we won't go there ;)! I keep the shed air conditioned to prevent any plastic damage in the summer months. The 3476 truck I've had for quite a few years from a seller in Germany I got among many items MISB, Damo, sadly though I installed the decals on the cargo bed tarp cover, & time has not been kind to them during storage. As long as the truck was displayed on a shelf, everything stayed pristine! If anyone is in my area someday, be sure to give me a shout & you can come by to see this mess, Lindama, Panos, ;)

Bill, do you ever have any problems with the coldness/ dampness on your playmo in your shed?

If I leave cardboard in our shed it goes a bit limp :-\

Interesting question, Damo! My Playmoshed is not built attached to the ground. It can be moved as a unit with special equipment, so there is air flow under the floor. If you build a shed using the ground as a floor, dampness will come up through it due to saturation from rain, snow, etc. Even if you put plywood on the ground without elevating it & using a vapor barrier, you may get moisture causing mold, bugs, mildew, etc. It has been almost a year, & the boxes are still in great shape from what I have continually monitored! Screened windows can help air flow like my shed has too! I put black curtains up to block sun light from fading any building contents. I maybe required to get another building to store my mechanics tools that share a third of this building that would help in finding things!

If there is no air flow under the foundation, moisture will work its way into the building through the bricks causing dampness.

ahh I see ^-^

Our shed is split into two rooms - a hobby room (where my Playmo is) and then another room which is the workshop (the old part) and that is a terrible state in there with water pouring through the windows and walls when it rains! :uhoh:

And lots of mould and fungus too! :D

Be very careful of mold, Damo! I had a great uncle that cleaned an old farm house that had a roof leak for years. The house had accumulated mold on a grand scale, & he didn't wear a respirator while trying to eliminate the mold. Shortly after the seige of fighting the mold he started suffering from a severe headaches. He ended up losing one of his eye's from the mold attacking his sinuses & infecting his eye!

If I had a shed, I would sure air condition it! the temperature is over 90 about seven months of the year here in Louisiana, and humid. I would just have a melted glob if I didn't.

Thank you again eveyone for the latest positive comments!

bw, I started collecting in 1998 with a brief stop in 2002 for 2 years & during that time I thinned out my original collection that now I regret!

Ras, putting A/C in the shed sounds something like you'd do !

bb knows what I'm up against, my goal is 80 max!
