Hi,
We made a trip to Indianapolis today to search for a good store that carries Playmobil and we got a great haul. I am just so excited about the new editions to our collection, I thought I'd share :D The only store that sells PM is within an hour and a half's drive away (besides a shelf or two at Toys R Us), so when we walked into this cabin out in the boonies (a Christmas tree farm) we didn't even know if we were at the right place. We were so surprised to find an entire room- a whole room ( :omg:) of Playmobil!!!!
We found the Viking longhouse 3151, which is retired and, in my opinion, hard to find. It had a nice layer of dust on it, but found it just the same. We got a few add-ons in the bags, but here is the majority of what we got....

Cheers :**:

We were in heaven! It's nice to know we can actually get Playmobil when we want it. We were pretty unsettled abut Ridge Road Station. It wasn't in the pic, but Collin got the box-car racing set (4141) and he is currently sleeping with the cars. He was clutching the box to his chest asking "can we take this home"? So sweet ;D
-
Awww... He's turning out so nicely. ;D
-
So far so good ;D He even "helped" build the dragon knight's castle. Only two years more until he gets his own castle. I hope he still likes castles by then 8}
-
Well, if not castles maybe something else. That's what is so great about playmobil; it has something for everybody!
-
Wow, the Viking Longhouse is an awesome score! Congrats.

Great point! I'm so tempted to get into the Egyptian, Zoo, Roman, African Safari, victorian . . .

I highly recommend all of the above! :yup: Especially zoo and safari, of course. ;)

If you do, it will never stop! ;D
The Viking Longhouse is pretty rare these days, so you did well! :)9

I love that viking longhouse!
Vikings are cool :viking:

Major PM congrats on your haul! Love seeing good ol' Nessie in there!
-
Congratulations! A great haul, indeed!
I like the cat, too.

Great haul!! The viking long house is indeed hard to find at a toystore these days...
Lovely cat too!

Good fat haul indeed. Great stuff for a diorama I say :-)

If we were smart, we would have bought the other two viking longhouse sets to sell on ebay....
We will probably make a viking diorama soon and maybe a dragon knight.
P.S. the cat's name is Siris. We have another cat (his biological brother) named Meeko.

Hi
A cabin on a tree farm out in the boonies filled with Playmobil, sounds interesting.
Nice additions to your collection

Thank you! It was so strange.....I had to jump out of the car to go inside and check to make sure it was really a toy store before we got Collin out of his car seat (it was cold and snowy). We thought we were lost. It sounds almost like a dream though, huh?

Here is the link to their website. They do ship. If you are ever in the Indianapolis, IN area I highly recommend stopping here.

Hi
I know if I took my wife and 3 kids on a excursion that took 1.5 hours to visit a toy shop I would surely be sleeping alone, no matter how dreamy it was
Trees, snow, boonies, farm, cabin & Playmobil :cloud9:

 :lol:I think that's the only reason our marriage actually works so well is that I'm as much into PM as Aaron is. He took me out to a nice dinner though, too. ;)

I like your cat more......he/she is stealing the spotlight~~!!! Good job.......but the US exclusive/ slimmed down dragon set is also good too.

Yup, sharing a PM obsession is great for a marriage! Before chris got into playmobil, it was legos, so we've both been toy collectors from the start.
This toy shop is just amazing! I'm so jealous; I wish there was a cabin in the woods full of playmobil here somewhere. I think I would just go and stare!

Wow, how exciting! Great haul there, I am jealous!
