So thanks to a certain member *Skywalker* my desire for the 3626 hunting party is voracious. But doesn't this starting bid seem high?

If this is how much it goes for, I'll never get it! :hmm:
-
Seems high to me, but I'm no expert.
-
Whoops, I meant this one 3638 :-[

Still not much better though.....
-
Whew, I would need a second mortgage on my house for that one! :o
-
Yeah, me too. Maybe I'll get lucky and find one without the box. I'd just open it anyway :P
-
Yeah, there's not much point in paying mint in box prices when you're just going to open it. Though, I admit I've done it before.
-
Ditto! :)9 I can't help myself! :-\

Sometimes you just can't help it ;) There's no feeling like opening a new box of Playmobil ;D

Patience.
I have more time than money and I can only remember buying one Playmobil set at full price in ... well, I don't know how long now!
I always wait for sales for new sets.
Just keep checking ebay and you will find what you want. I have found the best is to buy "lots" of Playmobil and piece things together from what is in them. It's always neat to find that what was missing out of one lot is in another lot you get later on!
Yes, these are beautiful medieval sets (I think the 90's were the best for this theme). Take your time and you will get them. Don't hesitate to search 'worldwide' on ebay - you may get the set dirt cheap out of the box in Europe and then pay a bit for postage but still be cheaper than what you would find on an auction from the USA selling for.
-
These are nice sets, but I personally wouldn't pay close to their starting bids.
-
I find the prices ok for these sets! I'd buy them but keep them boxed...never open them...It seems a shame to buy such a boxed set at such a price and open it... If you cannot resist, patience is a virtue as Wesley sais...they will surely turn up unboxed in ebay! So keep your eyes open!
-
you can find the hideway set here in argentina for 50 dollars and maybe..... 30 for the shipping.... it would still be cheaper ;)
-
I have 2 of these sets and opened them straightaway. I cant resist playmobil, resistance is futile :-[
-
Thanks for the advice everyone :wave: Yes, all my favorite sets are the medieval ones from the mid 90's and I know those are cherished by many, and therefore a little more difficult/expensive to come by. I will just wait until I will find one unboxed. I have every piece from the Merry Men's Feast 3627 except for the green/orange female klicky. Maybe this year will be the year! :prays: As you all said, patience is a virtue and the wait will make the gain that much sweeter 0) Or wait....was that resistance is futile? 8}

i do all my biddings with this last second bidding-robot. i bought so much old playmo for nothing it´s ridiculous. hole trains in packages for 30€....

I collected my set in seperate pieces. It took a while but was very cheap. The hardest thing to find was the stick and I eventually found it in a selection of foliage that I got for 99p. :)
The only thing I am missing are the fasteners to hold the boar on the stick, but I found some very small elastic bands (I think they were from a Lego Bionicle set :-[ ) and they do the job very well. I don't think anyone has noticed so far.

Yes I know, I just put this photo on to show what I'd used to put the boar on the stick,
The other pieces and klickies are elsewhere in the display because my husband helped to set it up! :D

Those prices are definitely high, even for MIB.
Mine is still incomplete but I got all the key parts I wanted for about $18 loose.
