I've started to notice that lately playmobil's box art does not always show everything in the set. I first noticed it in this set: http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Show?pid=4327&cgid=Schule
If you click to see the box back image, there is a tool box and tools included that aren't represented on the front. But that is NOTHING compared to this: http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Show?pid=5107&cgid=Reiterhof
Click to see the box back image, and there is a whole stable stall that isn't shown in the picture! http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Detail?pid=5107&cgid=Reiterhof Each one of these new horses comes with one in various colors, and I hadn't even realised it! These are almost neater than the horses themselves; you would think they would feature it more prominently. ???

Yeah, I think the new horses are really cool! I can't wait til we can get them here in the US. Looks like it will be next January :(, because it's this January in Germany. But never fear, ebay is here!
-
Well I know that they ususally put less items in the back picture but its only to indicate what they have ... for example, if the set has ten apples, they will just put on apple... but showing more items than they actually show in the front, well thats new to me...
-
mmm I hadn't noticed things as obvious as this stable.
It happened something similar once...but in fact the other way around. When I bought the victorian kitchen set 5322, there is in the pictures of the sides of the box a green bottle that doesn't come with the set. Just one green bottle...I thought that was very odd. I kept shaking the box waiting for the bottle to fall but it didn't happen.... :)

Maybe they decided the pictures would look boring and repetitive if the same stable stall was in every picture.

WOW those horses are beautiful! :inlove:
That is a bit strange that they don't show the stables - perhaps they are trying to empasise that vast that the horse is new and so beautiful ???

I have noticed this too, actually on this Friday. I had opened the cafeteria set, and while I ways putting together I found a blue tool box. I started to wonder because on the box it didn't show. It seems like its the same thing with these horse sets.
Its quite strange. Maybe Playmobil wanted these items to be like a surprise or something???...

It's kind of funny about the cafeteria set, because it is made so that the guy can also be the janitor, which I think makes the set so much cooler! And it also explains why he's dressed like that. :P (No offense to any janitors out there; I have worked as a janitor myself, and have also cleaned houses)
-
Why would they have a tool box with tools in the cafeteria? Does the drink machine really break down that much?
-
Of course once I read the title of the set it makes sense. It is cafeteria mit 'hausmeister' ... (janitor) - literal translation would be master of the house or housemaster - a much nicer term than the English equivalent.
The English set title is just, "school cafeteria" - no wonder people are scratching their heads over the inclusion of tools and a guy in coveralls ...
-
Oh, that's very interesting! So the title in German tells you there is a janitor included.
-
In many German schools the janitor/caretaker/facility manager runs a little shop with sweets, sandwiches, soft drinks a.s.o.
I don´t know why they translated it "cafeteria"

Well, that makes a lot more sense! I was wondering why all the cafeteria had to offer was a few sweet rolls and some drinks! We don't have anything like that around here. Some high schools have a soda machine, but that's it in my area. You only eat at lunch time and then when you get home from a long bus ride, sometimes at 4:30 or 5. I hear some places there are vending machines with snacks.
