Title: Medical Center 5012
Post by: flatcat on November 15, 2010, 18:13:12
Where did this set come from? - It's AWESOME :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PLAYMOBIL-Rescue-Emergency-CLINIC-Ambulance-5012-NEW-/110610362762?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item19c0e4318a (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PLAYMOBIL-Rescue-Emergency-CLINIC-Ambulance-5012-NEW-/110610362762?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item19c0e4318a)

The listing says it's exclusive - but exclusive to which store ???

Interesting that the child is having a scan for a baby!

Shame about the price :(

But I'm sure I'll get one one day :yup:

hey..yes it seems to be from the US, to me!
It is quite nice....but I don't think the scan is for a baby!
it must be another kind of ultrasound, can someone see the pic in the machine?  ;D
That would be a total blooper!

The vehicle isn't entirely new - it's just a re-paint of the family van:

3213 - Family Van (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3213)

probably with a cabin re-fit to take the strecher, which as far as I know is a new stretcher design 8-)

The car is still awesome, though 8-)

I think it is for a German store, as there are lots on German ebay :-\

WOW! you are right about the Ambulance & stretcher! They are excellent ! My only question is if the size of the family van can actually let Medic Klicky's stand up vertically while in transport of a patient :hmm:?

I am sure a person with the knowledge of customising fire trucks can deal with that  ;)

I think the ambulance and strecher are the only thing that are actually worth having. The building is a bit of an odd bod like the 3130 - Ambulance Medical Center (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3130)

For me, the only thing really worth having from that set were the ambulance and the helicopter. Oh, and of course Avie! :D

I may just buy the vehicle if it comes up available on it's own like I did with the 3386 - Fire Tower and Truck (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3386)

It just wasn't worth paying all the extra money and shipping to get it with the building as well

The building reminds me very much of Macdonalds - all it needs is the golden 'M' above the doors and you'd have the authentic piece 8-)

I'd like to say it's mine, but I can't :(

I love these vans, mostly because of their multifunctionality, and also that you never see two the same ;)

Looks like this one has some van type storage facilty at the rear, and a sleeping section in the middle ;)

I could do with this when I go up to Knaresborough 8-) ;)

That's true. It does look very much like the pld classic mcdonalds. We don't have too many of those around here anymore. They're all going all modern and chic with sculptures and fountains and modern art out front.

Yeah, they're trying to change their image & preparing us for a price increase if they redecorate! $6.00 Big Mac's :omg:

Yes, last year our nearest one in town has lost it's red roof and classic burger bar interior to modern, sleek and contemporary design. And on the outside it has wood panelling (looks more like a shed now) :hmm:

They all serve fancy coffees now too. Which I like by the way, especially the caramel frappe.

There's been a bit about it on klickywelt and from what I can make out it's an exclusive for two Swiss toy shops, Swiss Toy and Franz Carl Weber.

A klickywelt member has already done an excellent custom livery for it; I'll see if he will agree to me posting them here.

I'd like to add the ambulance to my collection, but I'm not bothered about the building.

I'd love an affordable System X clinic for my town-  the hospital is just too big and expensive- too bad Target couldn't take it on...

Here are some more photos of the ambulance in the set.  It is a custom by ASBSani87 on klickywelt.  I haven't been able to ask his permission as since the board recently changed it's software the option to have the key information for navigating the site in English seems to have disappeared.  I will, say, however, that ASBSani87 is a great customiser, as you can see from his work here.

He has created an emergency ambulance for use young children, a "baby notarzt", and the first 4 pics show the externals, including one featuring the new stretcher.

Now some shots of the rear inside of the vehicle and then some showing how the new stretcher will fit in the 4221 ambulance.

Now a more detailed pic of the new stretcher and then some pics of a custom police car by ASBSani87.

Finally, a pic of the rear interior of the police custom showing how the ambulance interior can be removed.

Ah, Panos, remember that what you're looking at is a wonderfully customised version with lots of detail added, even down to real high visibility striping.

i contacted bennain who referred me to playmofool at klickywelt and he set up my english preferences, as i could not find them either.  here is the link to my preference page, if that will help.  you get to your profile with the top right user profile button.  hope this helps

Hello Gordon, He sure is a great customizer and he makes some of the best photostories too! BTW, have you noticed that I joined klickwelt too?

Actually yes, possibly. I'd have to consult with Chris first, but I don't think that's a vehicle he'll want. It doesn't resemble anything used in the US. PM me if you wanna talk about splitting it up.

I've found another, this time on ebay UK: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PLAYMOBIL-Hospital-5012-Clinic-Ambulance-NEW-/370515571426?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item564472f2e2 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PLAYMOBIL-Hospital-5012-Clinic-Ambulance-NEW-/370515571426?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item564472f2e2)

It's pretty much the same give or take a couple of quid, but probably easier.

And comes with a saving of £1.52 off the RRP! :apple: :apple: :apple:

Hmm, I might have to get this one. The building would make a good shop, or could be left as it is, as a doctors surgery
