Title: Colorado Springs Train Station
Post by: flatcat on October 31, 2010, 11:24:40
Hello

Today I set up Colorado Springs Train Yard. It is not strictly all Western, but what I had out at the time.

Once again I apologise for the darkness of the pics. Even with the brightnes etc turned up on the camera it is still too dark.

Colorado Springs Train Station

From left to right: Pasenger terminus, train yard, freight depot

Passengers await the next train to Deadwood:

In the train yard, an old train is being worked on:

At the freight depot, all manner of parcels and large items arrive and depart from Colorado Springs:

Entrance to the Colorado Springs Freight Depot office:

A train waits to be given the all clear, so he can head off on another journey:

I do apologise for the shoddyness of the photographs. I did take lots more, but hopefully you can get the idea (they were too badder quality to bother showing)

Great set up, Damo!

But, I'm curious about the two guys in the canoe?

Did you have a flood? (Did the Colorado River rise up quickly and drop them there?)

Or, did someone just ship them like that on the train? ...  ;D

Thanks everyone

Hopefully when I can combine it with all my other Western town buildings, Indians, forts etc, I should have a pretty good set up :)

Damo, I've seen here and in some other of your set ups, that your use of space, parts distribution and general design idea are great! Have you considered studying urban planning or architecture?  I think you'll be great at that! :)

Funilly enough I can never go into someone's house or garden without secretly re-designing it in my head. I built great things with L**o when I was younger.

I am looking to go into garden design/landscaping soon

This is another great scene Damo. Love the buildings,    I want the train station!   :hissyfit:
I think the horse pulling the cart is looking very apprehensive about going down the slope

BTW if you need a garden to practice designing on, we have a large uncultivated plot available!

A boxed colorado springs station went for £42 on ebay a couple of days ago, which I thought was very cheap (I did try a bid) :-[
