As Gis said in his thread, and others do but I didn't noticed ;D ;D, it would be cool to have just one thread about additions to each one's collection and keep updating it. So....going back a little bit my previous buys were these.....
And tonight I got these:
Special 4578, wedding 4298 (for my sister wedding cake in January ;D) and pirate ship 3286 (not 3940 as I posted in another thread, I know it is the same one except for the manufacturing country) Im very happy with all of it, except the fact that the ship's box was broken in the mail. I was very upset when I saw that, but... what can you do?? 0) So far I just opened the box and THE SHIP IS HUGE!!!! I love it. Never thought it was that big!!! I love the black pirate, that goes to my favorites list!!
The only complaint so far is this...... just 2 cannons? That seems too few....anyway I am so gonna enjoy this next saturday!!!!!
Cheers.
Gaston
-
Congratulations on your recent purchases and starting of this thread. The firemen klickies are just getting better and better, though the older ones still look promising after years. And the pirate ship is great too.......it is realistic unlike the recent one with too vibrant a colour scheme.
-
OOOOO Great additions, the pirate ship looks great!! and the female pirate is one of my favorites :-)
Good Stuff Gaston!
-
Love that ship!!! Great additions Gaston!! Well done!!!
-
Special 4578, wedding 4298 (for my sister wedding cake in January ;D)
Gald to see others are using klickies for their Wedding cake !!! I sure did in my mine last June !!!! 0) 0) 0) 0) 0) 0) 0)
-
Thank you guys! I layed out eveything this morning before work to start on that ship as soon as I get home tonight. I couldn't wait till saturday!!! ;D ;D
-
The pirate ship is a great addition and extra cannon are still available from DS. (As you will have noticed, there is room for two cannon in the captain's cabin and this is quite authentic.
The fireman Special, Gis, is a discontinued one, but still a good one.
-
Those are some excellent sets, Gaston! :)9
-
Bravo!
How much did you pay for the 5301 Mansion, if I may ask?
I only recently decided I want a mansion, but didn't realize how much they go for nowadays. The 5300 it seems fetches between US$300-$600 complete on ebay :(
A local store of mine has the 5301 for $135, but it is not as impressive to me as the 5300.
If I can't find a 5300 for a deal, I may have to make one myself.
-

Hi! Well.... in Argentina EVERY Playmobil is 3 times more expensive than in USA or Europe, so having that in mind I tell you that I payed for the house $320 dollars. :'( so $135 sounds awesome to me.
That's life..... ;D
-
I got this set today! I never dreamed of having it because I always found it was very expensive. But yesterday I found this one which was 40% cheaper that the rest I've seen in argentina so I bought it! and I already have it with me.
(im still waiting for my Happy Witch 4550. I lost all hope of getting her for my Halloween photo shooting on saturday)
PROs: reasonably cheap and complete (even has an extra kid)
CONS: the felthiest toy I've ever bought. Disgunting. Full of dirt and stains... like melted ice cream. I don't even want to think of what it was. And had a stench of tobacco smoke that is still present after washing it for an hour. :( Oh! one front light was broken... >:(
Anyway..... SUPER HAPPY i have this classic car!!!!!!!!!!     Now my countess needs a driver!!
Gaston
-
Congrats on the car!! I just acquired one myself and it too, had three gold parts broken off :'( .....what are you going to use to glue it back on?
-
I recommend using Plastruct Plastic Weld glue for a more permanent repair. Super Glue can be used also, but not as good of a repair. I have done repairs to my 3526 fire engines that prior to finding this type of glue I could never have done! It is a miracle! Be sure to use carefully & read directions thoroughly!
-
Lovely car!! Treasure it Gaston as is one very important playmobil item!!!
-
Thank you guys!!
@ Dino I use an instant adhesive gel that contains CIANOCRILATE, I guess the equivalent would be super glue. You use only one tiny drop. It is very good. Can't be used on clear parts because it turns them white though. Be carefull. But for colored plastic is great and fast.
-
Oh, congratulations on getting this car! It's very hard to find one that is affordable. I'm sorry it was such a mess, but hopefully it will clean up ok. And i guess it's better than not having one at all. ;)
-
Thank you Bonnie! yes it is better to have a smelly one than none!
Hopefully it will be odor free when I get back home from work.
-
Yesterday this arrived! I LOVE IT. My first 100% steck set and I think I've fallen in love with it. So steck lovers you have a new sidekick! ;D
(http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/14-5-09053.jpg)
But the best part of it ...was this.....
It is Antex.
I didn't know when I bought it.
I couldn't believe it when I saw it! Enough prove that Antex quality was PERFECT back then. This was made in 1984.
Im so happy today!!
-
Two more very nice additions to your collection, Gaston. Well done.
-
I love 3455!!! Still have the one I got as a child!!! Congratulations Gaston!!!
-
I just love the potter's house
Does it make any difference to it's value, being Antex ???
Damo :)
-

Damo :)
I don't know Damo. It was a good surprise it is Antex. I don't know if it changes the value. I can only guess there are fewer of these, maybe that makes a difference. But Im not into that sort of thing much.
-
Thank you Gordon and Panos! You are always very encouraging!
-
Nice! Great find! :)
-
Thank you ELric!
Last friday night I received this guys!
I love the black Lion dude! ;D
-
I love the black lion dude too...However, I dislike his mustache...but with a few modifications...
(http://img38.imagefra.me/i3b7/baldthar/grpn_c5e_ua7ll.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
Sorry for posting this custom here Gaston :-[, but I wanted to show you what a little improvisation can do :D...
Oh and the skateguy is cool 8-)
-
That one is cool too Panos. I do like the beard!
-
And here is tonight's purchase! I haven't open it yet.
Have some done a review of it?
(http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/14-5-09028-1.jpg) (http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/14-5-09029-1.jpg)
So far the box is so diferent from the rest of playmobil that I have mixed feelings about it. It is cute, looks modern and I think it would get kids' interest but I feel it looks TOO diferent and lost the Playmo flair. And this..... 7-12...what does it mean? For kids from 7 to 12 years old? that's new too right?
What do you think?
Gaston
-
Yes, I think the box design for this theme is ...interesting. I have mixed feelings aboout it. It does look more modern. If you're right that they mean ages 7-12, which you may be, because it seems i've heard something about playmobil trying to capture the interest of older kids, then the box design is probably meant to look more sophisticated, and not pre-schoolish. However, I have gotten attached to the beloved blue boxes.
-
And this..... 7-12...what does it mean? For kids from 7 to 12 years old? that's new too right?
What do you think?
Gaston
I would also think that children under 7 years of age would not really know much about secret agents and espionage and stuff of that nature. That would be more for older children. Whereas, a farm set or horse stable (or castle!) appeals to all ages.
-
This new theme is too James Bond for me... plus, the vehicles look a lot transformers/gi joe-like... I am sorry but this sereis has no appeal to me whatsoever! If I wanted action toys I'd buy a regular transformer or gi joe! But, something like this will work for a kid between 7 and 12 that are looking for action toys!!!!
Playmobil has dificulty keeping older children to maintain interest for the toy... its the digital age you see... thus this newer age target group 7-12...
-
I see your points guys. I was not interested in this them either. I just found it for a good price and thought it was good to give it a try. What is really silly to me is to put a top to the buyers age
The box is kinda cute, and surely more apealling for older kids but I like classic boxes better. Even the pink ones!
All is odd about the set. The string that it brings was very messed up in the bag, around the clicky's neck, as if chocking him. They even had to put instructions for how to put the suit on. You don't need an MIT degree but as it makes not much sense.... you actually need instructions!!!
The best part about it is the intention to innovate. The creation of a new theme (even if it is the wrong one) is a good sign, that Playmobil keeps working to catch more public. The question now is.... how much is too much? Electronic devices for spies, transformers pick up trucks and aircrafts, flying planes?
What our dear Hans would say? ???
-
Well, the agent theme, was made, to reach the older kids, which think that they are too old to play with PM. That was the idea from Geobra, by creating the agents. I read this somewhere. ;)
-
Special 4578, wedding 4298 (for my sister wedding cake in January ;D)
Very glad to see others are using these amazing sets also for their wedding cakes. My sincere congrats on all the pucrhases and the decision to ornament the cake with these wedding klickies , they are the best!!!
We have kept ours , their little feet still has some sugar crust on them from the cake
-
Do you remember that when I bought the victorian classic car it came with the wrong clickie? And I was going to exchange clickies with the guy who sold it to me in order to have the right one? Well...it was easier to buy the whole set!
So I did!
And It came with an extra dog and a briefcase. ;D

This is fantastic, Gaston! That's a great castle! Where is that set with Santa and the little girl from? I like the girl's outfit. :-[
BTW, I love your floor.
-
Oh, you must mean you ordered them as extra parts. I see now she's from the dollhouse.
-
Thanx a lot guys!!!!! Im happy as I can be... I've been thinking of structures I can make with the few stack I have and I can't wait to get home!
Bonnie... Santa and the girl came as a gift. This ebay seller always sends me extra clickies when I buy more than 2 itmes from her...she is super nice!
The girl is nice, she has a pony tail and I had never seen that before!
-
Oh, ok. Yeah I love the new ponytails. ;D
-
Very nice haul tonguello! I have the redcoat officer too. Does anyone know why they no longer come with the gold 'shoe cover' thing as the originals did in the 1990's?
-
Thanks Bolingbroke!
what is the gold shoe cover btw? :-[
-
Have a closer look at the feet of the officer's Gaston ;)
Bolingbroke, these were really easy to loose...plus they look ridiculous...
-
The whole figure looks a bit ridiculous imho. One of these days Im going to customise a standard redcoat and make him officer.
-
I already made mine ;) (sergeant, captain, general) Oh and Arnaud's sticker for the flag (thanks again Arnaud  !)
sorry to mess your thread Gaston, feel free to erase this post...
-
Oh no! don't worry!! thanx for the pics. I never noticed those golden things.... I like them though ;D

On the subject of space stations, did you ever see the robot that Junior made using parts from some of the space vehicles and space station?
http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=4962.0
How long did it take you to put the space station together? When we got our frirst space station it took us ages to put together, now we have two I just leave it to Junior to put together as he wants!

Hey Elaine! yes I have seen the robot and it REALLY good! Im missing the set that has thosw sort of wheels to make one myself
o put together takes a long time. I did it in two times. One night I made the first half and as it was already past midnihgt I quit and contunued the next afeternoon. It is a great set for kids. I wish I had this when I was a kid, but I had to settle with the Playmospace sets that were awesome in those days!
I love the trapper! Is set #3394
Thanx guys for the comments!
-
Gaston, just out of curiosity, do you get your sets in BsAs? I ask because in September I was over visiting and I must have gone through 3 or 4 toy stores and distinctly remember how few the offerings were for PM. I was expecting more, but I came back with the impression that I could find more variety here in Curitiba. Or maybe I didn't go to the right places?
-
Luciano, there are a few big toy stores with a modest supplay of PM Im sure you couldn't miss them. However for several months (from may to december) you could find only Antex Playmobil here. So I if you came in september there was not much.
But on December 24th (yes a little to late for Xmas) a new shipment came in and now toy stores have a lot of PM. Not exactly new... I mean we are getting stuff from year 2000 to 2006 at most.
Next time you are here let me know and I'll give you a couple of addresses to go.

This is the little guy I forgot to photograph the other day.... I LOVE HIM!!

Aw, he's so cute!

He is indeed a great little figure!

Hey Guys! here are march's haul! Someone made me go into the farm theme! I can't remember who but thanks a lot! >:( >:( >:(
jokes aside, I always loved the farm theme but never wanted to go into it because I knew , as always it would be just a black hole for me to fall!
well I just fell.
This set 3554 is really good!! lots of accesories and of course the building is amazing, I just love it.
This particular one is ANTEX. Long story short.... clicky horrible, building excellent, accesories very good. so Im very happy I fond this in the same shop I bought the pirate island!!
Sad thing is that the main lifting accesorie of the tractor (don't know it's name sorry) broke in half the second time I lifted it >:(
the others I love too. the circus one I have searched for it for months, till I got one here in BA, the little tractor and the ranger are awesome!!!
there are a couple of Specials, a custom I liked a lot and part of the Knight's Calendar 4163.

great looking haul. welcome to the blackness of the new theme :lol: enjoy your slide down 8}
That steck building is great and I really like it too. We had a small stash in the US playmobil and i picked up some of them and now wish I picked up even more :(
The circus act is the other set I am admiring as it is one I am also looking for complete. playmobil sure made some great stuff back then that was so unique
-

Oh, I thought I would have to start getting mad with PB too ;D.
And that's a serious haul (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/clapping.gif)!
-
And about the Antex set, I think they do have some decent ones, and usually (but not always) the accessories are good enough. Here at ML there's been a flood of Antex sets for sale this month.

Congratulations Gaston!! This is an excellent haul!!! I've seen this old farm set at a toy warehouse nearby... the guy asked 150 euros for it so I passed and decided to invest in knights!
-

that's a lot.... I paid $90 (dollars) for it, not a bargain either.
-
congratulations!!! :apple:
-
that's a lot....
well, the guy who has the warehouse knows a lot about toys and collectors, he is old school toyshop owner and knows his way around.... he even said to me ''hey you'll never find this one in such a great condition, still shringwrapped and in one piece. Maybe in ebay and the price will be more than what I am offring you''
btw, that custom arab warrior is great!
-

Is this by any chance from Chrischnus, a german ebay seller? I recall seeing it but not where...
-
no idea, she never tells me who she buys things from. I only now is a man and he is german. so it could be.
-
Some great new sets, Gaston! Congratulations on your slide into a new theme. BTW, even though I hate circuses in real life, the old circus sets are AWESOME. I have the white elephant set and I love it so much.
-

oooooh don't have that one. I would love it.
I hate circuses too. All kind, even cirque du soleil :clover:
-
I have mixed feelings about cirque du soleil. It's a little weird and creepy sometimes, but it's cool, too.
-
I have expressed my negative feelings about circuses before but that white elephant... I'd loooooove to have one!!!
-
Here we go... this is April's lot. I think is the craziest lot I have had so far
I really need to control myself in May! :( due to some ds order I have already made.... but that one counts for May.
Funny thing is that I found the construction set at a toy shop, for half the real price. They must have had some mess up in their computer. Anyway... my gain!
And the Antex diver is the cheapest playmo I had ever bought at a toy shop too. $4.
I must thank our dear friend Panos for helping me here with a couple of things for the Special indian and the Prince. I realised later that the Prince is misssing the cuffs too, but the seller seem to have them. Let's hope!

Some great sets there! I love that jungle skeleton set; it's on my ebay wishlist... one of these days! And that 9/11 firefighter has always been one of my favorites. Sounds like you've found some good bargains here, too! Computer glitches are great! :)9
-
Great additions Gaston!! Diversity is always great in a collection!!! I have that skeleton but never opened it...
Glad I was able to help you with the spare parts :) Anytime!!!
-
Long it's been since I posted here the last time, and a lot I have bought.... (do I sound like Yoda?) :hmm:
But this month's haul is very exciting for me.... so let's start, here are the pics.
That is three old specials I love, a MISB (not anymore) easter bunny, a mountie ( kinda custom I suppose) and 8 of the new surprise fi?urs
now some details
(http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/DSCF3106.jpg)
The surprise figures are really cool. My seller has the whole series put aside for me  but I didn't take enough cash so I picked my favorite 8 when I went to her place
The small sticky stones are great a touch though I forsee a short life for them when kids start playing with those clickies. (not mine though)
I love these spaecials though one is missing a couple of tools :(
I do have the rope for the burglar but not hook..... there must be a hook or not?
The gym guy is SOOOO 90's
the Mountie has been put together, for this type of horse is newer and it is a racing horse... right?
It's missing the hat band unfortunatelly :(
Plus I got set #4037 http://playmodb.org/setpics/4037.jpg which I forgot to photograph :-[
and there's another surprise.... soon....
-
Great finds, Gaston :o! I agree that the builder is quite out of date ::)!
Ace :brownhair:
-
he burglar is one of the first specials right? Nice!!! The mounty is great, but the horse is not one of the new racing ones. it was originally introduced in 4185 and its also available in an add-on set from DS.
Excellent additions Gaston!!! I really look forward to these bagged figures!!!
-
@ Ace...I love that little guy but my seller didn't have all the tools and I had to buy him anyway..... He is missing 2 but I love the thermos . :)
@ Panos, yes the burglar if from 1994, the first group of specials I think. I love him!
Does anybody know if his rope must have some kind of hook or thing? or it is just rope?
-
The mounty is delightful, I would love to get one myself!
And does anyone find the painted on dagger on the Robin Hood figure EXTREMELY cheap? (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/hittinghead.gif)
-
And does anyone find the painted on dagger on the Robin Hood figure EXTREMELY cheap? (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/hittinghead.gif)
yeah... :'( :'( :'( also the fact the she has no neck-wear...something there would make it look a lot better. I love her though!
-

I'm trying to figure out what the painted marks on her face are.....???
you could also always just put a real playmo baldric with real dagger over the painted one.
-

The painting must be made by the same person that made those horrid eyes like the black queen special.. What is THAT supposed to be? And to make it worse, the heads are PAINTED, instead of molded, so... I'd LOVE to ask whoever did it what in Hades is it supposed to be.
(I find the painted dagger cheap too - would be a LOT better without it)
-
And to make it worse, the heads are PAINTED, instead of molded, so...
what do you mean?...I don't get it :(
-

must be mudd 8}
true the painted dagger can be cover with a real one.. ;D
-
what do you mean?...I don't get it :(
The black queen has the eyes and mouth PAINTED, like they had a gazillion years ago. So I can't shave those horrid things...
Same happens with the wolf knights (reviewed on playkingdoms), and more...

I like those eyes. I know many dont like the good old klicky face being changed, but they add character to the klicky.
About the dagger, did not notice it... yeah it looks cheap... and her shoes look like sport shoes :-\
-
I like those eyes. I know many dont like the good old klicky face being changed, but they add character to the klicky.
Well, some. In that case, WHAT is that? It's not eyebrows...
-
Well, some. In that case, WHAT is that? It's not eyebrows...
hooded eyes of some kind, to show she is mischievous...
-
like Tahra, I don't like the printing quality of the eyes on the wolf knights/evil queens but as Panos says it adds character to the figure - to me, a klicky with evil eyebrows is just grumpy, but a klicky with the painted eyes means he/she is a permanent villian :D
too bad they're horribly painted though
as for the mud looking black things on that lady - it just doesn't make any sense to me, if it was mud they'd look more like spread stains all over her face - but they're too symmetrical to simulate that!! ???
-
Very nice additions, Gaston.
-
Thank you Gordon, Im very happy with this lot ;D
-
Today I got this MISB set

An almost complete longboat...
And some more fi?ures. ZORRO is amazing!
A lot had commented on them but I don't remember ever seeing how this princess looks without her skirt. And she looks A LOT better!!!

Mario, the pizzaguy is cool too, what's on his plate? Can we have a picture?
-
I sort of changed my mind about these figures. Some of the designs could be better, and it still is a big fail in terms of swapping things around, at least for now, but the quality is amazing. I woud go far as say that PM should start using the body design they used here, for all their klickies. The grey whatcamacallit inside, it really makes the leg, arm joints fit tight.
-

he has a weird pizza  kinda green looking... and rectangular :-\

There was a time either telepizza or pizza hut had a rectangular "mediterranean" pizza.. It was very good
But I can't get over the color. What kind of pizza can be puke green!? ::)
-
ok ok here it is...
it is mozzarella, salami, onion rings, basil, tomato sauce and sliced olives.... yummy!
the border is weird... it should be brownish... but tahra is right... it's kinda yellow gone bad... 8}

...
Alex: sushi is not gross! i love it :)
Agreed. ;) :shhhh:
-
I was squeezing my Fi?ure bags and I thought I'd grabbed a different one than the baker, but it is pretty nice (it's growing on me but I was dissapointed when I opened it).
I was thinking of using this baker with my Steck bakery. I am not sure how period his shirt is though ... :)
Since flatbreads with toppings have been used since ancient times (including ancient Greece and Egypt), it works. Mr. Esposito was not the first.

Nice ones, love the scuba one.
Me too.. I missed him :(
-
Just went to the thread for the 1st time... it is nice to see all the cool sets you are adding to your collection!! :)
I never got to acquire the Jungle skeleton with natives and the viking-ship...the skelton set would fit well into a jungle scene with cannibals and captured sailors :uhoh: :-[ The viking-ship is nice but not into my collection-era, so I allways postponed getting one...
And good to see you got yourself the 90's pirate-raft, and a big 3286/3940 flagship of course! :captain: ;)
-
Im thrilled I could get hold of a NISB 3280

I must say that when I saw the stagecoach for the first time I hated the colors. But it looks A LOT BETTER in person.

Thank you guys!
Here's part January's buys. These got home yesterday from Playmofool's
I was very impressed with all I got. The victorian bathroom is AMAZING! It is soooo detailed it really blew me away.
I was shocked at how big the micro sets are   somehow I thought they were really "micro" and the size of a Special's box :-[ :-[ :-[
And the conservatory is gorgeous! amazing building! I would have liked it better if it were of a clearer plastic but I love it anyway.
The Baron's tower is huge and probably the base is the single biggest and heaviest Playmobil part!
The bag is a mix of clickies, thrones, chests and hats.
More to come later!
-
Oooh, looks like a pretty nice loot. I don't have any of those sets - the Victorian Bathroom is on my wish list, though. :)
-
Steck !!! excellent buy sir !!!!
-
Ah!! The baron tower
-
I haven't shown my purchases in a long time but I love this set so much that I just wanted to share it. Surely there has been many reviews (I haven't checked yet).
It is so simple but so iconic that I just LOOOOVE it. And I love the little boxes
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Oooooooh!!! I've always wanted this set so bad!!!! Congratulations on acquiring this set!
-
That's a cool-looking set! ;)
-
Isn't it lovely?
-
Congratulations!!!! :woohoo: What awesome sets! I don't even have the Baron's tower yet :sorrow: I love the Playmobil truck, too ;D
-
Thank you guys! it is awesome, I opened it before I came to the office, I couldn't resist!
Unfortunatelly the dark blue parts have a lot of marks and hits for the bad packaging :( thought it was a MINT set. Anyway, nothing too serious but you know... it takes some joy away!
I love the clicky, the stikers are AWESOME!!! but the best is the small PM boxes! I want tons of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
That's a great set. You can make your own boxes. Someone a while back had a template.
-
cool! I thought of that but seemed like a lot of work!
I'll try it though!
-
You can just take those boxes unfolded and trace them for the template, that's the easy part. Then you have to figure out how to shrink down the pics. But it could be done by scanning catalog pics. Also, if you want boxes identical to this, you can just run off copies on stiff paper and cut them out.
-
and probably the base is the single biggest and heaviest Playmobil part!
Interesting observation, very interesting indeed ... will make a relevant post .... ;)
-
Yesterday I got a couple of loose used clickies and some MINT ones.
Here are some of them... the rest turned into something else and will be in another thread ;)
I got three of these
(http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/5%20de%20agosto/DSCF4316.jpg)
I LOVE this pirate
(http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/5%20de%20agosto/DSCF4317.jpg)
This couple has been in my mind for a long time
I love the girl's hair and the guy's clothes!
This is one of the two I got... but the other is in the repair shop ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
I'm very happy with all of them!!!

-
Cool! The green car is my 2nd reason for wanting the new Victorian set (the 1st being the carriage).
-
Very nice :) the new figures look really nice love the old car nice feel about it, and the sets on the previous page all look good to the truck looks really cool who wouldn't want Playmoscale boxes of well pretend Playmobil ;) ;D ;D. I've got to say I was just thinking that a Greenhouse would be one of the things I definately wanted, nice big one for when I get roundt og etting myself a figure to be my gardening avatar and loads of plants, need somewhere for all the tropical and cacti plants to live in
