Like others do in their threads, I will try and update this thread with the newest additions to our collections :-)
So last Friday I received a little package with some stuffs I got from Ebay. I really needed the Christopher (Hi Arnaud!) and the games are nice additions to as we also of course collect the animals for the Zoo!! The rest is just some klickies that were not very expensive and I still felt I didnt have enough of :-)

My wife went shopping Saturday with our duaghter, they managed to find some of the newe christmas stuff so brought some home...as well as a Graverobber which was a presernt to our son to go with his pyramid!

And then finally here is my birthday loot!!! This is from the cats/kids and my wife :-) I also got some nice spending money from other people...so more boxes will be bought soon!!!

I built the castle together with the kids and i will put up some pictures of that soon!

Congrats on the great gifts, Gis. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the castle.

Oh great buys Gis! I love the Xmas sets and that castle. I hope you can make a review like Panos did. I think I like this one better than the eagle castle. Im jealous of all that!!! Even your kids are gorgeous!!!!!   Congrats on everything!!
Cheers!

Very nice. It is good to start your own thread so people can get you gifts that you yet have. And it just sounds great that your family not only accept your hobbies but also get you playmobil as gift. My mom and dad keep telling I have too many (No, this is not true in the PF universe...AT ALL), and would never buy me as gift :-\ My friends dont either, as they think I have a big enough collection and got no idea what I am missing.
-
Very nice Gis. The Fleur de Lys knights are probably my favourite PM knights ever!
-
Nice additions to your collection Gis! I have to find this Saint Nicholas duo pack, but it's not a favoured character here in France. Will he have a part in your Winterhaven story? As a bishop or something?
Those French knights are cool figures too. Got too many divers, do they still come as a gift from the DS?
Cheers.

Congrats on the new additions! If you happen to have the Zoo set 3240 and instructions please please let me know if you'd be able to help me out. I love the Christmas set you just purchased and have been wanting to get it myself or at least the tree to put in my Victorian mansion ;D ;D
-
Congratulations, Gis, both on your buys and gifts and on having a wife and children and cats who buy you Playmobil! My wife and cat don't buy me Playmobil and we've no children (but the last means the Playmobil is MINE! ;D ).
-
WOW!! So many great sets, klickies and items Gis!!! Well done!!! I love the christmas sets...non of them in the greek market yet, and I doubt they will be...
You also got the big newest castle!!!! Lucky you!!! I hope you'll manage to find some time for a review!!! ;)
-
Some wonderful sets Gis, well done
I laughed at you saying they were from the cats/kids and your wife - did the cats contribute the most?

This last Saturday we decided to drive to Germany and do a Playmohaul.
Here is what we came back with:

It will be some time before everything is stored/unpacked but it is just so nice to always have more boxes to open waiting for you :-)
-
:omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: That's unbelievable!!! I see you have new farm stuff! (http://www.mazeguy.net/happy/jump.gif) Are you going to do reviews? ;D

Excellent success on your voyage for sure Gis! I really like alot of items you were able to get! I'm jealous, but thank you for sharing pictures of your latest acqusition!
-
I still can't believe it. That is more than what I have ever seen in any toy store down here.
-
 Me too until very recently! Just a few months ago my local toys r us more than doubled their playmo section, so they have a lot there now.

Around here in the forum this really doesn't seem to be something extraordinary... ::)

Very true! You know it's getting bad when the UPS, USPS, & Fed Ex delivery drivers know you by your first name due to constantly bringing you Playmobil deliveries everyday!

I think what is extraordinary about Gus's purchases is that it has so many diverse sets from so may different themes! Most of us are only concentrated in specific themes, but Gis gets sets from various themes. I also do that but not very much!
So :hatoff: to Gis!
-
Gis, I´m very impressed and a bit jealous. This is a monumentous haul. Must have cost an arm and a leg. Looks like my yearly budgets worth or something.
Furthermore, I showed these pics to my wife. She was very impressed too. And suddenly my purchases looked very modest compared to this. ;) Another reason to thank you for posting this.
Did you buy this in one shop? How did they react?
Did it all fit in your car? Or did you make your wife take the train home?
Did you stay overnight in Germany?
-

 I haven't got to that point yet, but I think all the cashiers in TRU know us!

Yes, Gis, this makes my purchases look very modest. I feel much better about myself now. 0) Thank you!

Congratulations on finding so much good stuff!
I got a few new things myself lately but don't have the patience to take a photo before ripping the boxes open :D
-
Congratulations on your haul. There is some great stuff in there

I trained my delivery guys to bring the stuff into the porch past the locked perimeter gate and the German Shepard dog :P Not only do they know me they know the whole family  I used to wonder what they must think I get all the time in the mail :eh?:

As long as you don't end up on a Homeland Security watch list it's all good! ;)
-
very cool purchases, and you have some beautiful kids :)
-

Yeah, I guess it could look very suspicious, getting all those large packages. You may end up needing a disguise like Damo's!
-

I wouldn't go that far, 'cause you may be put some where to be treated for an illness! :toot:

 Quite true!

Been there done that :loco: jumped the wall and ran, never looked back :hehe: and the men in suits were the ATF ;)
What I want to know is what is that farmer game set? I have never seen this one. The second question is will there be any of those special exclusive knights left for anyone else :o
-
Where is the farmer game set? i don't see that.

It has the rare rainbow rabbits you could use for your zoo
-
Cool, but I'm still not seeing it. ??? I must be blind! :eh?:
-

oh sorry, it was not the one I thought
-
The farmer game is in the very first picture of the thread. It's the third of the game sets, originally a Vedes exclusive from 2005 or so. The King with Frogs was first, then the pirate with kittens, then the farmer and bunnies.
-
 Thanks, Tim. I feel stupid now! I didn't even think to look at the old pics in the thread, was just looking at te latest ones!

:omg: :omg: :omg: :omg:
What a shopping weekend!
-
Thank you all for your kind comments. I am currently traveling through Europe each week so therefore my post rate is a bit lower then usual. Expect it to pick up again in April.
It was indeed a very fun shopping weekend and some of the boxes we don't need at this moment are stashed in the attic for the future.
In this post I want to share with you another recent acquisition. This time it is not about quantitiy but quality!!
Since I started working on the WJT, I have been trying to complete my collection of Caparisons! Cowabounga was kind enough to gift me one when we last met in Paris. So that left two missing ones, I recently ordered one online and I will collect that when I am in the US next month. In this is what arrived in the mail yesterday:
It is not just the famous white Caparisson, it’s the complete set!
At least as far as I can see it is complete. If something is missing could you please let me know?
So one more to go and it should already be underway to a friend in the US!!
I am so excited :)
-
Wow :o Congratulations! Such a great set  And it looks like it's in mint condition!!! :yippee:
Congratulations, again! Have fun and safe travels
