Title: Victorian Countess
Post by: tonguello on October 11, 2010, 21:36:44
Hi everyone!
I could say I can scratch one item down from my list in the Project thread! I have finished my latest victorian costum. She will be the main caracter in a photostory and that¡s all I can say for now.
I think the results of so much effort have paid off. I really like the general look, the color scheme and the little details.

I hope you like her. I can't wait to start the photostory.
Cheers you all!
Gaston.

Exactly so! :yup:

I love that warm beige colour - it works really well with the dark brown fur trimmings.
And the jewels give her just the right appearance of understated wealth, very fitting of her class.  ;)

Fabulous custom!

She is wonderful Gaston.
We have had a period drama on TV here recently, set around 1912 and my first thought was that she reminded me of one of the characters from that.
I really love the fur trim round her skirt and her stole and hat are magnificent.  :wow: :wow: :wow:

gaston
she is quite elegant.  in the states, we have a phrase "old money" to describe the understated inherited wealth class of folks, of which we have many here in sf. many of them live on nob hill, or pacific heights here in sf.  just as in europe, the rich folks live on the top of the hills, the poor folks, beneath them.   the fur hat and cape are delightful, as is the necklace, although the scale of the jewel is definitely an inherited piece.

Late to the party but boy is it worth it. She really looks stunning. And I hate when people use "foreshadowing" I don't have the pateince for it *grin* (Sssshhh...I don't like using it myself at all really, you are just imagining it!)

WoT, many people here have both a Nickname and a Realname. skypurr for instance will always sign her messages Elaine and so on...so I guess Gaston is wondering what your Realname is.

Shirona: Panos is Wolf Knight :-)

Thank you all! Im happy you all liked her!!  ;D

Sorry about the "foreshadowing" part, I didn't mean to creat suspense about the photostory (if that's what you meant), it was just a comment of an on going project.  :-[

BTW I think WOT knew what I meant..... he is just evading an answer to remain known as Warrior Of Toys!

Ok, that's what I thought he meant.

Actually, I was wondering if you meant what does WoT stands for.

Sorry, I don't feel comfortable revealing my true identity... (*Insert Masked Smiley Here*) ;)
Besides, why wouldn't I want to be called Warrior of Toys? (http://www.klickywelt.de/images/smiles/head_ritter.gif) ;D

That's fine by me! Everytime I read your name, it reminds me of that old tune by Captain Sensible (1982)! Then I go:"Say Captain! Say Wot? Say Captain! Say Wot?"
Sorry I don't want to be off topic: this custom is impressive. Is the shawl custom made? Or is it a genuine part?

Cheers,
Arnaud

Thanx Jimbo and Arnaud! I appreciate it.
Arnaud: the fur shawl, fur trim in the skirt and the fur hat are costum made. The feather aswell, thought it is a playmo pirate feather cut in half and painted.

WOT are you Batman?
