Well I have finally gotten around to the pics from my vacations loot.
On out way to Germany I missed out on a great opportunity: a shop with 2nd hand playmo. It looked to be in a good state and had great sets (complete, not expensive). Shop was closed when we were there. Didn't sleep for 3 night.
In Italy I found almost nothing. Plenty of shops, but most of them have nothing. They do have lego though.
But I couldn't leave Italy without buying a playmo item, zo I bought this for my daughter (1 year old):

Then we went to Switserland, which was a lot better.

Then on to Germany, where we found a great toyshop in a little town:

Not expensive by the way. Around 15 euro's. Has a lot of parts I need.
The to.........................PLAYMO FUN PARK!
First we took a hotelroom at the park. Next morning we went to the park itself. All objects shown from the park and hotel were obtained legally! Really!

The spoons come with the icecream and have a playmo logo.
At dinner we ordered a chirdrens meal for my doughter. I came with this policeman. They only had an other child with toothbrush as an alternative. But we already had two of those.

In the restaurant these hologram cups come with your drinks. The cost 1 euro:

There was a big playmo shop at the park. You do not need to enter the park to go into the shop. It had almost all the latest sets and a big DS-section. There was a discount rack. From this I bought a bag of dwarves (you can never have enough of them) and a bag of penguins.

A bag of crocks (still want to make a Sobek, these crock are medium sized with 2 young) and a drinks vending machine (for my flying castle space gun, long story).

And...........the 30 years playmo book. It was discounted for only 5 euros!!!!!!!!!! (only in German, but I can read that.

Then I was out of pocket money.
We all had a great time, especially at the funpark. I'll write a review later.

Wow! That's a great haul - I especially love the extra 'collectable' pieces from staying at the hotel - that sounds good fun. :D
The advent calendar is great - I've just bought one but it hasn't arrived yet.
Is the policeman a keyring and which was the Playmo book?

Elaine, yes the green policeman is a keychain.
Can't say much about the advent calendar. I'm not alowed to open it before the first of december.

It was only 5 euro's or something. Very much discounted. Pity for others it is only available in German.
I'll do a review later about the park and the hotel (if I can find the time). Lots to say about it and was very impressed, especially by the hotel.

I presume this is the German version of 'The Story of a Smile' - I paid a lot more for my copy last Christmas :'( it is also very expensive on Amazon uk:

Yeap ... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:.. especially for the 70s and 80s steck and other sets as I am also a grumpy old man in playmo terms and do not like at all system x and the steck/ system x hynrid monsters not the agents and some recent themes that in my opinion are violent oriented , remind me of GI Joe and cheap chinese medieval castel sets and have nothing to do with what really playmoibl is all about ( personal view ). I dont believe that Hans Beck would be hapy with some of these new sets. And of course Playmobil is a company and its objective is profit and in that sense it has to adapt to market trends etc , same as playmoibl being made of moulds and not woods many years ago .. But as I said I am a Playmobil hardcore old type collector and a grumpy old man i suppose so no ones going to take notice of my concerns of violent themes and cheap to manufacture sets etc etc . I will just sticxk my me old nuremebrg guards and more steck ..
That book is a great book for any collector/ playmoibl fun , and a great read with lovely pictures .

Awesome haul you got there! Wish they had a park like that in Canada! You're right in that the blue dragon is small...I just got mine in the mail today....the knights fit on him nicely for riding! ;)
