Yes but they are not the same...The ones in the puppet theatre have a star on them, whereas these older ones have the german eagle!!! Now that, I like!!!!

Very nicely made cheng. The old torso is really an asset for these customs!

UGH

*hangs head in shame*

I am so sorry cheng. I liked what I saw a lot but didnt take the time to enlarge them. It looked to me like the lines on the torse were the shadows of on of the old torso's. My apologies.

OH WOW!
I love the way you used the sash instead of a belt!
I think it looks 10 times better! :wow:
They are magnificent!
And the painting you did on their actual belts looks brilliant! :omg:
It adds so much...
As my Kindergarten Teacher always said, "A drop does a lot!" ;)

My only advice would be to switch the collars to black. :)

Great job again Cheng! ;D

Great job! they really look amazing!

Apropos collars...  ??? where are the red ones from? are they painted or modelld from those with epaulettes? Please answer about that, I need red collars for my 17th century spanish regiment, but yet have not a real solution for them.

Quick question,
When were these Helmets used?
And by whom?
I assume the Germans and Prussians... Anyone else?

Oops I guess there is more then one there... Here are a few more:
What type of soldier would use the helm?
Were they an order as Giorginetto says?

... lets add them together for a massive order perhaps ???  ;D ;D ;D

Or are you just talking about buying them Giorginetto? :-[

I think this wikipedia article sais it all Warrior! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickelhaube

In playmobil this was used in 5504 - Hobo And German Policeman (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5504)

Think Giorginetto asks for help to order these from playmobil hellas! I think I would just need 100 but also the various klickies to donate their parts for my design...

thanks everyone  :)

@Sir Pleamo, the red collars are originals...very old ones..even if they are new, being 'closed' collars, collecting a 100 red collars would be tough/expensive  :P

@WoT,
I dont have black collars...not this type anyway  :(

yes, I prefer those ACW-typw sash too  ;)

the belts are PVC stickers, I try not to spray when i can because I want my customs to be correctable...also, PVC stickers give a better 3D effect....
(can't imagine our favourite Red Coats with painted on white cross belts but I think this is unfortunately the direction PM is going towards...afterall they are not supposed to be removable and saves a lot on production cost)  ;)

I recommend these special torso and arms:4628 - Northern Soldier (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4628) or 4642 - Cruise Ship Captain (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4642)

and the legs from this special: 4669 - Police with Radar Control (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4669)

This would be the result....

thanks for the interesting pictures & link, Work!!
I made something like the 3rd & 4th men from the right on the last illustration you just posted, as my US summer & winter dress in peking 1900...I wonder if anyone brought their picklehaubes to Peking back then?!  ;D

are you able to read me the tiny descriptions at their respective feet? thanks in advance!  :)

Infantry Private Campaign (KXXXXXX?)

Infantry Private Campaign (Khakie)

The Army's uniform changeover from its traditional dark blue to the new khaki and olive drab began during the Spanish-American War :cowboy:

tell you what, earlier when I still have an account in the K-forum, I read a message where someone ordered the new hat from the theater set and instead was sent a full bag of the hat with silver eagle!!! And that guy then returned them back to DS and insisted on getting the new one. So I think they are still available, and sadly my account was terminated on the forum and can ask no more.  :-\
