Hi guys.
Just wanted to show you these which I'm quite proud of. The design's my own, after an original coat of arms from a town in Germany. I was quite happy when the first pirates blister was issued, those black and red arms proved really useful. I also used the black and blue arms for my Praetorians (you'll get to see them among others in another thread). Black and red really fit the evil knights, I think.

These are magnificent Arnaud!! Where is the shield of the second footman from?
I used the roman style arm in my knigths at the beginning but it seemed as thought there is no armoured protection for the arms. And this is a footman, lots of hack and slash expected...
Regardless, your fitting suits them very much!!!

I know Panos!
The first is a light footman, so he moves fast and doesn't need heavy armour. The second one wears a larger shield (it's an egyptian shield carried upside down), and fights in a phalanx.
There are now arm protections that fit upon those arms: check the new Mongol warrior (4745)!
Cheers.

The egyptian shield!! I never would have guessed!! Very nice!!!
Yes thats true, and some of the arm bracers in the latest dragonland series, like 30 20 3252 - Cuff, armoured (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-20-3252) would do nicely, in arms like the sergeant's!!!

The upside-down Egyptian shield's a stroke of genius. I wish the people at PM nicked your idea and started producing such shields for their knights sets :)

As soon as I saw the first Egyptian set, I saw what could be done with those! I just wish they'd have rounded edges. Or better, a large Normand shield, possibly with a shoulder strap...
I think we should compile all our wishes regarding spare and new parts (new colours for the helmet feathers, a red coat/french soldier blister pack, you name it...) , then send them to the Club Members so they get them straight up to Zindorf.

Great work Arnaud!! That is a really good looking coat of arms!

Great figures, I like the heraldry and that's very clever with the Egyptian shield. The new shape that's coming out is nice- a heater type with a point at the top which is similar in some ways to what you've done.

Hi Elaine.
Ive started explaininig how those are made in another thread, here's the link: http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=5561.0.
The coat of arms was designed with photoshop.
