HI!
As some might have read before, I started customizing (or costuming?) not long ago. And being Victorian my favorite theme it was natural to me to go in this direction. I've done several victorian men but turned out that women were a lot more pintoresque to me. So I started a serie called "Ladies at the park". Here is the first I came up with. I love the result.

The hat is a western hat that I have modified and painted. The feathers I've done myself and the stones are from an old fantasy ring (thank you mom ) Tried to make it look luxurious as she is the finest lady there. The fur boa is not Playmobil, I molded it myself and I was amazed of how similar to the real Playmobil one, it turned out.

Every lady at the Park is walking her dog. As she is the finest, her dog has a diamond collar. I'm not really happy with it....still have to improve it.
Well that's all for now. More ladies tomorrow. Hope you like her!
Tonguello.

That's a very elegant custom, Tonguello. Nice work! :)9
-
Excellent custom of a lovely late Victorian period lady.
The "boa" is magnificent and it does indeed look Playmobil.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful creation with us!
-
Hey this is a really excellent job Tonguello!! I really love the use of the western hat and its details!!!
Very beautifully done!!!
-
Excellent custom, tonguello. I hope you'll show us more of your Victorian customs, men and women.
-
Very nice! I love the dog and can't wait to see some more. ;D
-
great!! she's very nice, though if I'd met her in real life I'd have thought that she was a bit too snobbish for me ;)
the boa and the hat are really awesome!
-
Wow! This one is really stunning. :wow:
Love all the little details you added and the colour scheme is very elegant. I thought the boa was Playmo until you said you made it yourself. You definitely have a talent for modelling as well as painting. 8-)
Thanks for sharing your beautiful creation!
-
Beautiful work, Gaston very elegant. I too was thrown by the boa. It looks completely at home.

She is wonderful :wow:  :wow: she is very elegant and I too thought the boa had come from Molly Brown!
Hope to see more of these customs.

Yes...my colors schemes are very "grown up" in all my creations. I use colors that are not very comun in Playmobil sets... but I think the results are really nice!!

Beautiful work, she really is very elegant

Hey friends!
Another lady tonight. This one is very simple. I think of her as the younger and trendy of the group. Probably belonging to the 1920's.
The fur scarf was inspired by the PM victorian scarf, but I made it of fur and bigger. As you'll see in future photos the setting is in winter.
The bouquet of flowers and the peacock feather were made by me. Colors are warm and I just love them. The emerald is a perfect and exquisit detail!! I think she might need a belt to make her dress not that plain. What do you think?
Gaston

PS: Tonguello does not support the use of real animal furs or skins.
No PM fox was harm to make this outfits!

Funny. :)
-
Oh seh is great!! Great job!!! What king of a feather is that?
-
wonderful!! I love this one!! colors are marvellous!!
I'm glad that no Playmofox was harmed for it, though ;)
-
This one is lovely too! Very pretty bouquet.
As you say, a belt probably would make the outfit more interesting.
You're very good at accessorizing! 8-)
-
Thanx everyone!
Yeah. a belt is needed. I don't think I have one, so I'll try to get it....or print it...we'll see.
Oh seh is great!! Great job!!! What king of a feather is that?
It's a peacock feather. I made it myself.
-
Another beautiful lady! And I'm glad to know that is faux playmofox she is wearing!
-
Excellent custom - you've really caught the spirit of the 1920s there. She looks as if at any moment her young man will arrive in a natty sports car and dressed in striped blazer and flannels.
-
She´s really nice. There´s just one thing I don´t like: the shoes. An elegant lady wears heeled shoes.
Greetings Martina
-
very nice both customs :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
where is the white dog from ? ??? it's not playmobil i guess??
-
the dog IS Playmobil... you can find it in a few sets, including the organ ( http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/5550.htm )

Joe
-
hey guys thanx for the comments!!
the white dog IS playmobil, from old sets. the item number I wouldn't know cause this one particularly was made in Argentina in teh 80's. The set was a pink jeep with an apple green woman with bags and the dog! Never saw it online or in catalogs. I do have the complete set though.
I agree about the shoes, but I didn't have heeled ones to use, :(
Is very dificult to find spare parts here in Buenos AIres.

Hi! Well.... it is not taht dog. From these you pasted is only in 3617. Is the one facing down. My dog has closed mouth and head moves. The one you point out has opened mouth and hind legs moves.
They are 2 different dogs.

Hi Arnaud, there is really no secret. Just good observation. I looked at the pic ok PM boa at playmodb, took the mass and copied the shape. Then made the "hair" with a non sharp knife. That's all. I think I have pictures of the making.....some times I photograph the step by step process but I don't remember if I did it with this custom. I'll check that out.

HI guys! here is the last of the "Ladies at the Park". Personally I think this is the best one I've presented. Still working on the next one. Is gonna be really better! ;D
This lady is very classy. The classiest maybe! I just love the fur stole! Don't remember how I came up with that idea, but took it farer in the next lady. But for that one you'll have to wait.
Here is Agatha.

Nice touch!
Best regards,

Just gorgeous.

-
Very nice work Gaston.
I can already see them meeting eachother in the park, being all jealous because ones feather is more beautiful and her boa is more expensive. I hope they wont get into to big of an argument. Then again they are ladies of course, so they will probably behave.
-
Thanx everyone for the coments. I bring some bad news today. Unfortunately I lost (I must have erased it) the folder with aaaaaaall the pics of the ladies at the park, the winter setting. Have no idea what happened! :'(
I'll have to shoot them again...... so sad.....Can' believe it, a whole afternoon of work lost.....

I think I never got to post this pics cause I lost the forder with the pics before I could. So inspire by this freezing weather in B.A. I re-shoot today. It was a vivid experience for it was as cold as snow out there! ;D
So here they are, better and improved.

WOW WOW WOW!!! I loooove ti Gaston!! this is fantastic!!! Did you paint the background?
Hi Panos, Thank you!
Nope, the background is from the Xmas in the forest Calendar. I only enlarged it with Photoshop.
-
Wow. They're GORGEOUS. (I hadn't seen them yet)
I couldn't believe it when you said you molded the boa thing yourself in the first one! It's SOOOO like the original (different color, of course).
I think my favorite is the older lady in brownish.. :)
-
they're all beautiful Gastón! - the one in the middle looks angry though, maybe it's the cold? ;D
-
These are some amazing customs, Gaston ! The golden highlights really add to the klickies!
Ace :brownhair:

They are beautiful Gaston :wow:
I really love the colour combinations. the background looks very good with their winter clothes. I had never thought of using this as a background for a scene.

Oh, Gaston! They're gorgeous! Love all the new gold accents. And beautifully photographed in the snow.
-
I love all of them!! :camera: :inlove: They would be perfect for a winter themed Victorian setting. I'm very sad they're not in sets that I can buy in the toyshops :'(
And I for one adore the dog's collar ;D And the little diamonds on their hats and clothes. Ooh, and the colours, they're so realistic!
-
Thank you everyone!
I realised that I have the very annoying habit of starting projects and never finishing them
So as I have already new things plannned (too many in fact), I'll start resurrecting old threads about customs and stories that need clousure! ;D ;D ;D
-
Really wonderful! I love all three designs, what a great job, a pleasure for a victorian fan, and what great combination of colours, well done! great job! Can I have any of these three? ::)
Greetings!
