I bought my first playmo in New Orleans today (I just moved here). Sadly it's at the only store in actual New Orleans that sells Playmo, though there are some TRUs nearby that I haven't been to yet.
I bought set 4548
(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41%2BFLa4JDHL._SL500_AA300_.jpg)
He's actually the mirror image fo the box, which I found weird. I'm not too fond of the pirate sets... or the knight sets (blasphemy!), but I liked this guy because ge was unique and more a stereotypical pirate with the peg leg and eye patch and parrot. However, I was wondering, are there any that have hook hands? If so, is there a tutorial on here (or somewhere) with how to change out the klicky hands? I want this guy to be super stereotypical pirate! He needs a hookhand! and a cutlass!
By the way, I named him Rupert.

Oh, you just opened up a can of worms…
I have a non-traditional way to change bodies around, but it’s a devastating process involving sharp tools, blunt intrunts, cursing, and occasional bloodletting… But at any rate, swing on down to “How To” board (a few inches down on the main page) to learn the traditional way first.

Thank you. I had searched for it and didn't see it, so I posted this... but then I searched again and saw it! Funny how that happens sometimes. So I have looked at it, but thank you for posting it up here as well.

Great klicky purchase Reimagination!
It's a little cheaty that they should reverse the picture for the box. It tok Playmobil years to realise that only 1/2 of all pirates who lost an eye or a leg lost their right eye or leg, though there is now at least one pirate with a patch on his left eye.
This figure is a great basis for a Navy figure, as he is almost in uniform. Just change the legs for white trousers with black shoes, and from the neck down you have a very acceptable British Naval Warrant Officer (Boatswain, Coxswain, etc.)
It's a shame Playmobil have this fixation about putting skulls on pirate hats, I doubt there were any hats made that way really. It's easy enough to remove the skull print on this hat if desired.

I am very Jealous of your pirate!!!!
I cannot send my pirates to kidnap him because they need almost a month to reach your location with their sail ship.
Great playmo!

This is a real classic!!!! Although the parrot on his hat might not be as realistic as the recent ones, it matches perfectly with the captain!!!!!!
