Hi everyone,
my name's Arnaud, I'm a 39 y.o. father of three, and I live in Paris. I've come back to Playmobil four years ago when my oldest son had his first knight, and started customising at about the same time. My favourite Playmobil themes are knights and romans and I make custom shields and bodies for them, using decals and stickers. I also started sculpting helmets with resin a few month ago. I already have met some of you on other boards, and am looking forward to knowing many more!
Bye bye and speak soon!
Arnaud

Hi
Welcome to the group from Sonoma County California. You will have many fans of your type of work in here. I want to see your work in progress with the molding techniques. That seems like a neat thing to perfect.

Hi dudes!
I just got back from the hospital where I've stayed for 5 days. I caught a nasty little animal called staphylococcus aureus >:D when I was on holiday. Everything seemed OK when I got back, and then the little monster started gnawing at the back of my right leg...Well, I can tell you it hurts. It won't be over until another 10 days of horse pills, but I'm OK.
So let's get back to our matter where we left it: thanks for the new welcomes. I will start a thread about resin in the appropriate section. If anyone has any hint or tip about sculpting and casting, feel free to join in. I know about the theory but I lack practice. So that's two threads I've committed to begin, I better get started. See you in a few hours.
Cheers.

Welcome Arnaud!
Your resin helmets and custom heraldry look a great way to create those parts that Playmobil haven't gotten round to. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work, and wonderign if I have the confidence to try it for myself.
cheers, Martin
