And sounding slightly worse and worse... :-\
But I had an idea that I could sell all the Knights that I am not planning on using,
And use the money I get from them to fund the rest of my Armies.
New Knights, more Romans, Samurai, and Colonial English would all be fairly easy to afford with the help of maybe...
$90?
For the amount of people I would sell.
I don't think I like the prospect much...
As I have never sold any of my Klickies before.
But I would be able to replace them with Klickies that would help make my armies what I want them to look like...
And stronger! >:D
So I would like to know...
What do you guys think?
They are all the people who I can't fit into my army,
The odd ones out.
And they are all fairly new, so no sentimental reasons for keeping them...
But never having sold Klickies before, I am a little nervous.
What do you guys think, good idea or bad.
-
What are you nervous for? Regrets afterward? Or that you will not get enough money? If you are going to sell them, only sell them at a price you are happy with.
Will you be able to buy them again? Or are they rare?
-
By selling some, you would in return get some..so it seems like a good idea to me. :)
Geobra makes zillions of the little folks...so we shouldn't run out of them for a while ;D

I am just worried about regrets afterward...
I don't think they are rare...
Mostly I just put in some Black Knights (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3315).
And customs there of.
I suppose that all the stuff there could easily be bought again... :)

Thanks Jimbo!
Maybe I should change the topic,
As this is starting to sound like a good idea! ;D
-
I'm not saying you should sell, but selling stuff can be great fun too. Having contact with other people, the excitement of biddings on your items, that sort of stuff.
-
I agree with both Ali Baba and Jimbo! sell them at a price you want, and get new ones that you really really need!
You can always keep the ones that you really really like or love, and even if you sell those, I am sure you can get them again later at some point!
Another option is exchange...although you need to get more recently produced klickies, right?
-
Many collectors eventually reach a stage when they want to, or have to, sell off parts of their collection, either for reasons of space, or a move, or just to focus on the themes they most enjoy.
If you don't really enjoy owning particular klickies/sets/themes, it is kinder to them to let them go to someone who will appreciate them more. If you can assemble them into their original sets, they would sell for a better price (on eBay), though some people seem to make money selling single parts and figures. Think hard about how you will present your lots to get the best possible selling price.
However be aware that you may not get as much for them as you think/would like/need, so selling purely to make money is not the best motive.

A sound advice Martin!

Exchanging could be cool...
But since I am putting together my own customs army people it might be a little hard... :-\
I think I will just go for the money.

I was only going off how much each Playmobil figure costs, about 3 dollars. plus the horses for 4 dollars.
Oops, just put the numbers back in the calculator.
I miss typed it in the first time, I will likely only get $60-70.
Still, that would help out a lot.
I think I will, thanks guys! :)

Ok, but how do I do that?
I don't have any "sets" just individual people.
I suppose I could put a nice looking background in,
And arrange them to look like they are in battle formations.
Would that work?

Hi
Yes you have a challenge if you are selling them individually
You could take pictures with a castle in the back or more pictures with the armor on and off, side shots, action shots make it fun and entertaining to look at ???
I would recommend looking at other auctions first to see what the flavor of the day is
Sometimes selling them in mini armies will get better per item prices also . It looks more impressive nd attracts army builders . just do some homework before you throw them out to the wolves

Some more tips. Aside from making your ad look nice, be informative. Tell exactly what the state is of your items. If there is damage, say so. If there is no damage, also say so! If it´s new, used, extra bit etc etc.
people like to know exactly what they buy. It makes them feel safer. Also less trouble after they recieve their purchase.
Make it sound fun and use different words to describe your items. (include playmo bil playmobeel klickies klicky etc etc) and mention the theme where your klickies come from. Your ad needs to be findable, so use many search words in your ad.

Ok, thanks Ali Baba! :)

Dear Warrior,
You are not new in Playmodrug. If you have cleared in your mind what you want to collect you should sell the useless parts for you and of course in a price that you think that it is fair. But Until now i have a different theory, the most useful buys is the junk summaries because they have things that didnot want but you never know where you can use them.A useless Knight or warrior always makes a good bandit in your stories.if the amount of money are under the 100 euros keep them.
-
I think that if you are not going to use something and it has no sentimental value, then you should sell it.
I would recommend taking some sharp, clear pics and selling the klickies in small armies. For example, if you have 20 unwanted Black Lion Knights, group them together and you may get a good price for them compared to selling them individually.
-
Thanks Grangel and Justindo. :)
Grangel, I am still keeping a few Knights that I don't need...
And my intentions were to use them as rebels and bandits.
