Best known for their history of bravery and strength in the British Army, they were designated by British officials as a “Martial Race” (a designation created to describe peoples that were thought to be naturally warlike and possessing those qualities).
Former Chief of staff of the Indian Army, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw once famously said about Gurkhas: “If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or is a Gurkha.”
In the history of the Gurkhas, only 02 are recorded to have turned against the British Empire, both under extreme torture by the Japanese during WWII. Even now, the Gurkhas are part of the British Commonwealth (countries that chose to stay loosely part of Britain).
If there are any errors in this information, please tell me.

Interesting theme to customise!!

hey Andy R!
your Gurkhas can join my forces in Peking 1900 anytime when youre ready! ;)
there are lots of reference materials and I'm sure you can slowly improve your custom once you get your hands on more suitable hats/torsos etc..thats what I do too(make them with whatever we have first)...sometimes it takes ages waiting for a better part to arrive...and sometimes PM makes a new one/colour (like the swimmer's legs which would have made customising Jesus less painful..sorry for the pun)

Ya, I thought you of all people would like it.;)
I took a standard British soldier body, removed the heads and belts and replaced the belts with western-style gunbelts and Asian heads. I also changed the covers…

Thanks for posting thins, Andy. Very nice customs.
Although I do not thinks members of the British commonwealth would say they were in some way part of Brittain.
Do these customs have the characteristic Gurkha knives?

A simple conversion, yet instantly effective.
Great job! :)

Kukris, and yes, to the limit of my (limited) ability the officer (in the Sam Brown cover) does.
I wish I could have done better, but my own skills are limited.:(

Or their Good side, for that matter.

Your Gurkhas look good, Andy! :)

I was given a kurki, a Gurkhas knife, while in the university by a fellow anthropologist as a present! He was in Nepal for a fieldwork and conducted a lot of research on the Gurkhas!
