Good one cheng!!! Well done!!!
This is what we call ''summer blue'' uniform!!! White shirt, blue trousers!
-
Another beauty cheng. Great use of the Baggy pants!
-
thanks everyone!
is this winter uniform then? :P
-
LOL, seems a bit shilly with the short sleeves. Although the white does represent snow quite well!
-
Two very nice customs, cheng.

Great custom yet again cheng!!!
No this is the ''summer white'' uniform!!! This one is wore during the day! The ''summer blue'' uniform, your previous custom, is wore during night! Both are wore on ship or in the base while working. The blue-jeans uniform, the one we so often see on movies, is only used for ship service, or training! There is also the ''service dress white jumper'' worn while outside the ship or base or on various ceremonies!
The winter uniform is the whole blue one and is called ''service dress blue jumper''!!!
Navy uniforms are actually quite complex, and there are various different uniforms for various different occasions!!

Absolutely awesome! I love the blue pants you used.

Great sailor Cheng
Well done!

My old man was in the Navy and those look EXACTLY like him (except dad’s a fat boy.). The only difference is that dad’s unis had rank insignias on the arms… Which is kinda impossible (I think)…

Only custom printing would make it possible...

thanks for your encouraging comments guys and gals ;)
looks like if I value comments from our lady members, I'll have to do less war stuff and more handsome klicky-hunks ;D I've been thinking how to use this male torso and I'm successful, I/he'll be a hit with all the girls here  but seriously, this torso will go well with so many of my themes, even as a chinese 'boxer' :P since east asians in PM world has same skin color as caucasians...makes collecting and customising east asians much easier & cheaper
and WOlf Knight & Andy R...thanks also for the bit of interesting information...I was going to give my sailor with white pants, arms with long white sleeves (which i mistook for winter uniform)
-
and speaking of sailor uniforms(maybe this needs a dedicated thread  ..for long-winded cheng 8} )
....I dont know why PM hasnt made a modern sailor special yet...I'm still hesistant to custom those big neckerchiefs with white piping/edging for my Peking 1900 where there were sailors from Italy, Britain, France and Russia i have still to customise.

Those are all very nice customs, Cheng! :)

Two Officers And An Enlisted Man In Summer Whites (aka “crackerjack”). (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/66/US_Navy_070919-N-5319A-005_Three_Sailors_show_off_the_prototype_uniforms_for_service_dress_white_and_service_dress_khaki.jpg)
First Class Quartermaster Winter Blues (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d3/Recpost.jpg) (it’s a WWII-Era recruitment poster, so ignore the sexist undertones).
Working Unis. (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/63/Workinguniform.jpg)
The Summer Whites and Winter Blues are actually enlisted dress unis; Winter Blues are authorized year-round, summer whites only during authorized times of the year… The Working Unis are what they wear when they are working…
And it’s still a GREAT piece…

Love the this sailor. He begs for a dreadnought or a passenger steamer!
And a lesson in naval dresscode to boot!
